Getting new m=monitor - resolution question

Thinking of getting a 1920x1080 monitor.

Will it look OK out of the box. or do I nedd to do something in order to get the aspect ratio correct -no stretching?

It depends on how many inches wide your monitor is according to other users.
In theory according to what they've said, so long as it isn't a huge width, it should be fine as it displays well enough on my 4k screen (which mind you, isn't absurdly huge). My own 1080p monitor is a solid 24 inches, and I also have a 1200p monitor, both work fine too.
