Basically after Ghori died his empire was divided up .

Ghori died in 1206 .His son Ghiyas-udin succeded him at Ghur .
Yaldoz his general took Ghazni and upper Sindh .
Nasiruddin Quabacha took Multan and Lower Sindh .
Ali Mardan Khan or Khalji took over Bengal and Bihar .
Lastly Qutbuddin Aibak created the Delhi sultanate in India .His successor Iltutmish later conquered almost all the others .Except for Khalji who was nominally a servant of the Delhi sultanate but was almost independant after Iltutmish .Later a descandent of the Khaljis would take over the Delhi sultanate and unify almost all of north India, expand into the south and make the Delhi sultanate the strongest empire in India and among the top 10 empires of the world at that time .

Quite a lot of questions around yet unfortunately I'm specific in these areas so can't help much

For the Indian and West Asia factions: May I suggest you to take a look at Stainless Steel mod? Their historical work seem to be pretty solid

Question Category F: Faction List & Symbolism (Ensigns, Herarldry, Flags, etc.)

One reason for this section, is to clarify the best names for factions re: faction specific cultural & historical accuracy as they would best appeal to a primarily English speaking audience. E.g. Song Dynasty is readily recognized, however the Song Dynasty seemed to preside over a monarchy, with an emperor present, etc. Given other factions, "Kingdom of Dali," "Kingdom of Qocha," etc. would it be better to refer to the Song as a kingdom, an empire, or is Song Dynasty going to be the very best name?
The alternative name for the Song Dynasty can be Song Empire.

The 'X Dynasty' represent the ruling dynasty over the territories of the 'Middle Kingdom' (the empire named Middle Kingdom never go away, only changing the ruling dynasty). So generally the 'X Dynasty' is the better term to describe the Chinese faction. For the other Chinese influenced factions it depend.

For the factions symbols you don't need to follow the historical sources too closely, some innovations would be acceptable as long as said symbols clearly represent its faction.

    - Mongolian Khanate (Khamog Mongols): I tend to favor this in your list http://www.crwflags.com/FOTW/images/m/mn_emp_2.gif

    - Kingdom of Goryeo: I favor your flag https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goryeo..._(Bong-gi).svg

    - Dai Viet (Lư dynasty): Like in China, dragon represent the royal class and the emperor. However as I said above we do not need to strictly follow the history here.

    Anyway these're my suggestions
    From English wikipedia

Modern Lư dynasty flag: It's the flag used by the modern Lư clan (descendant of Lư dynasty) in their family temple. It's essential a common 'ancient celebration flag' with the word 'Lư' in Sino-Vietnamese on it

    Another Lư dynasty flag

Anyway these can worth a look
Factions symbol from the older version of my mod (most still being use)

And I found this somewhere in our TWC
