Cant open all texture DDS files

Hello!

Some BBS files in variantmeshes cant be open ?

I use paint.net to change the unit's texture for Warhammer Total War. And for example i can open the bbs texture "crypt horror", but i cant open "crypt ghoul" (error on paint.net) ?

Is it normal ?

The last patch changed some of the files to use DirectX 10 with Paint.net doesn't like. Visual Studio opens them though.
There's a free community edition if you need it.

Thanks for your answers, i found "GIMP 2", a very nice free-photoshop, who open all warhammer's dds.
