    Default MCWC XIV Voting Thread!

    MCWC XIV - The Vote

The Monthly Creative Writing Competition is back! The poll will be open for two weeks.

    Voting

You have two votes. You must use both.

The poll is multi-choice, so you can cast both your votes at the same time.

If you use fewer than the required number of votes, please send any additional votes to the competition manager in a private message before the poll closes and your votes will be counted. If you do not use the right number of votes and if you do not contact the competition manager before the poll closes, then your votes will not count.

    Advertising

Advertising of the competition is allowed. Direct advertising to advocate nominees is prohibited.

Inviting people to vote for their favourite writing is okay. Asking for votes for a particular submission is not allowed and will result in disqualification.

Breaking the rules will result in measures at the discretion of the Writers' Study Staff.

    Submissions

To qualify for the MCWC, a piece of creative writing needs two updates since the start date of the competition. The stories which qualify are:-

    Submission 1 The Skymaster's Shadow

Even the cruelest monsters were once men....

    Submission 2 AD USQUE FIDELIS

The veteran was never fond of killing, but cold steel in his hand had always felt like an old friend that even though he had not seen for many years they could pick up where they had left off.

Submission 3 The Tale of the White Leopard

Silander, a nine year old aspiring scribe, sees his life take a sudden and drastic turn.
A story of survival, love and search for meaning set in a low fantasy world.

Good luck to all our writers!

When you have voted in the MCWC, we warmly invite you to submit nominations in the Writers' Study Yearly Awards!

Thanks to everyone who submitted stories and all who voted. One voter voted once and sent a second vote (for The Tale of the White Leopard) to me by private message before voting closed. The winners' thread will be up soon.
