    Hey I want to present my actual mod project in this thread: The Companionship - Heroes of Order United.
    The mod is a work-in-progress and will hopefully be released after the Bretonnian-FLC in February.

    The first picture underneath hopefully explains really well what I want to do in my Mod: I want to create a hero-focused faction which unites the Forces of Order (Humans, Dwarfs and WEFs) in one faction. This idea to play as a hero faction with a very story/mission-driven campaign is clearly inspired by my interest for Lotr, however the mod has unique characters and is set in the warhammer world, so there are no copyright problems. The mod is also inspired by Litharions "Endless-War"-Mod (work in progress) which gave me the idea to make a story/mission-driven campaign and also by Sanmayas Mod "The Grudgebringer" and Kazas Adventuring-Party-Mods, which both inspired me to mod a hero-focused faction. Thanks for that!




    Details:
    • Hero-focused Horde faction
    • Unites Heroes and units of Humans, Dwarfs and Elfs (and some very special Vampire, Norsca and Greenskin units)
    • storydriven campaign with many different and creative missions with the aim to unite Humans, Dwarfs and Elfs in the fight against Chaos
    • Inspired by Lotr (but with unique characters in the warhammer world)
    • Savage Orc Tribe Skull-Takerz is the base for the new faction
    • The Companionship can use ~40 new hero units (small unit sizes but very strong) and ~20 different lord/agent types
    • the waaagh-system is redesigned into an "Crusade-System" with many weak units like Peasants and some few heros joining your troops
    • overhauled recruitment system to make it more fitting for a hero-faction, completing missions is important to get new units, more unit/agent caps etc.
    • 20-30 unique horde buildings
    • 3 unique Legendary Lords (if it works correct a Grey Wizard, a Runelord and a Glade Lord)

    What is the Companionship? - Story of the Mod
    The Background story of this mod is that Chaos has made a conspiracy with Norsca, the Vampires and Greenskins to unite for the biggest Chaos invasion of all times. I have changed diplomacy to give these enemy nations a good chance to form a solid block of the "Forces of Destruction". I know this Chaos Conspiracy may not be completely lore-friendly, but it is gameplay-wise necessary as Chaos alone would need unbelieveable ridicoulous forces to endanger the nations of Bretonnia, Empire, TEB, Dwarfs and WEF all alone. But the idea of this mod is to have this epic war between Order and Destruction, therefor it is really necessary to let Vampires and Greenskins support Chaos.
    The Companionship is the first one who gets information about this secret conspiracy of chaos and since turn One its the main task for the player to a) prepare for the coming war and b) to find evidence for this conspiracy to convince the Emperor and later the other nations to unite against chaos. Depending how the player act and which way he takes the campaign play may be very different. Once the Chaos invasion starts (around turn 20-30 I think) the Companionship should assist the AI against Chaos, Vampires, Norsca and Greenskins as good as possible but also to execute some "Special operations". These "Special operations" are inspired by Lotr: For example I hope I can add missions that will include to obtain and use/destroy very powerful magical artifacts of the enemy and missions to destroy specific characters, cities and armies. It is my intention that the campaign can only be won if the player assists his allies and completes these missions, cause otherwise Chaos will be too powerful to be stopped. Therefor completing the missions will give huge campaign bonus for you and your allies (hope this will work as intended).
    By the way, I am not very educated in the warhammer lore, so if you fell this mod has potential I would have no problem if you would like to assist in correcting lore problems or give me ideas for more lore-friendly missions and so.

    Many great Mods included/compatible
    Its important to me that the Companionship feels very different to all other factions that exist right now. Therefor I want to have very unqiue and specialised hero units and agent characters. The best way to do this was by asking many other mod authors wether I could use some of their allready made models for units. I am very glad that I got many positive answers. For this reason I would like to thank the mod authors Aguirre, Guv, Haradrim, and kelstr, more will maybe follow later.
    I also use the All-Tabletop-Lords-Mod together with my mod, so if you see any special models for Lords in screenshot of this mod, they are not my work, but the amazing work of emcdunna and jdharrow.

    Massive Overhaul Submod Units!
    D you want some units back in MOS 1.7? Install this mod http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...n-1-1-RELEASED
    It adds back units who were deleted from the campaign in MOS 1.7, namely the Winged Swordsmen, the Citadel Guard Archers and the Gondor Dismounted Bodyguard.
