Lesson one, don't expand to a full season if you don't have enough material.

Lesson two, don't force a revelation that makes no sense.

^Yes. Season II was nowhere as good as season I. And afaik Lynch made up the "Bob" angle later on, and it doesn't allow for a good story.

Anyway, i hope they don't have that X-files guy too.

Valid points. Hopefully Lynch and the people in charge have learned from their mistakes by now. It's been 26 years since then, after all.

According to Wikipedia and imdb, Duchovny is 100% included in the cast.

Hm, saw the first 4 eps. I took offense at Kafka (a poster of him) being in a tv show :/

Re the show itself, i now watched ep4 too. Got to say, Lynch didn't deliver, imo. This is way less good than his last lengthy work (Inland Empire). Infact i am seeing it mostly as a series of fan-service to the old TP series, fused with an attempt to turn the lore of TP season1&2 into something more bloated.
I also dislike the pure cringe moments, eg the monologue by the son of Lucy-Andy, the barrage of super-hot women who apparently are there to be super-hot as in all Lynch films, the rather poor out-of-the-black-lodge-and-into-stuff sequences that could belong in an indie horror game, the nods at old characters, that someone who killed another person during a drug deal is now a police officer (lol ), the use of lost actors (eg isn't that the Scream actor?), and various other things. I think this series will leave a bad taste overall... That Lynch chewing gum you like? It is way out of style by now

Ep5 was imo crap, yet what is worse is that there are 13 eps left.

You make it seem "black like the sky on a moonless night".
Maybe you need to watch this:
    David Lynch: Surrealist of Americana

Bottom line, if you can't stomach surrealism and psychedelia, you can't stomach David Lynch.
There is no derogation here, he is not easy to stomach and it seems to me that in his current age he is becoming more"Lynchian".

^I like some of his films or parts of them. His most recent longer project was Inland Empire. But this Twin Peaks s3 is not a delusion (like IE), so one cannot brush off how unrealistic/bad some scenes are by viewing them as something metaphorical as in a dream or hallucination. So what remains is absurd. People wouldn't act that way.

Normal/ordinary people wouldn't act that way.
Normal/ordinary people are not Lynch material.
    I found episodes 1-7 interesting.
    I just saw episode 8.
It redefines the meaning of "psychedelic".
Even Lynch feature films have been more "conservative" than episode 8.
I can only hope it was the aberration of the season and that episode 9 will continue the plot.
I'd like to see what the real Cooper has to say about what's happening.

(I already know the first part of what he will say.)

The horse has run away with the white of the eye, and i think this goes way beyond inflating the premise of the original TP Anyway, Lynch is repetitive. And yes, while his films did not have this kind of prolonged sequence, his short films did, and imo it wasn't good there either.
That said, the phrase said on the radio was cool. But the person/thing saying it was again way too idiosyncratic to mean something to all viewers - at least that is what i felt, and to me it was mostly annoying (that it was a bum).

I will watch ep9, but this is a bloated series, for many reasons. Mostly because Lynch here cannot go the "it is all a delusion" route, and thus he is open to criticism as to what is going on (this isn't a dream where literally anything can mean anything).

Btw, it is set to get a lot more cringe-worthy when Leland appears.

    Why would Leland re-appear?
In any case he won't re-appear in the flesh.

Ep9 was more on the course of things, but still did not promote the plot as much as I would like.
However, the premise has been set for Gordon and Albert to figure out the whereabouts of Cooper/Dougie, who will probably have to deal with another attempt against his life.
Maybe this time he will get injured and when he recovers he will be fully Cooper.

    On a different note,
    Chrysta Bell is super hot...

Lynch always has some super-hot actresses. Which imo is another trope of his by now, and not good. By the way, did you realize that the (also super hot) actress who

Hum Bloated indeed leading no where... At least Season 2 had a seemblance of story and a grip on it.

At anycase what anoys me the most about Lynch isnt the Phsycadellic nonsense, it is his humor peenchant nonsense, and some characters of his.

Yes. While season2 was bloated compared to season1, season3 is bloated on a whole other level
With ep10 i found myself pressing the fast forward key to make things progress.
    Show is just bad.
