The Lord of Duskendale is invited to the Hand's tent. Jon Connington stood surrounded by the lords of the Crownlands, and Lord Darry from the Riverlands, in the middle of a heated discussion over strategy. While the redheaded lord had been appointed Hand of the King, quite a few of the lords that had answered the call were unhappy with the choice. While his age was certainly a factor, it was his known loyalty to Prince Rhaegar that upset those who had been in the king's faction back at the royal court. This did not make Jon's duty to crush the rebellion that were growing in scale each day any easier.

At the sight of Lord Elwood Rykker, Connington nodded and gestured for him to take a seat among them.

"At last, the men of Duskendale join the fray. Welcome, we'll need every sword to defend the capital and the Iron Throne from the rebels. Countless rumors have been flooding in, but it is almost impossible to discern fact from fiction. Do you bring any news, Lord Rykker?"

"Thank you, Lord Hand." Elwood says as he takes a seat amongst the assembled nobility, and then shakes his head. "Nothing besides the rumors that are going around, and that a host of Riverlanders were sighted moving across the lands of one of my vassals, although now it seems it was the troops of Lord Darry."

Lord Velaryon is also welcomed inside Lord Connington's tent.

    "Lord Velaryon, welcome as well."

Jon scratched his beard in thought, nodding his thanks to Rykker.

"Then I can at least bring some clarity. We can count the North, the Stormlands and the Vale as rebels, since Jon Arryn has refused to hand over Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon per his orders, and even had the insolence to demand that King Aerys abdicates. Since they are all in the Vale however, neither Stark nor Baratheon can call their banners and lead them to war."

Lord Velaryon makes a small nod out of respect and protocol.

Good Lord Velaryon, we thank you for your hospitality. Velaryon said while stroking his large beard. I have brought with me many soldiers and ships to stop these rebellious subjects, over 6000 soldiers and 44 ships. He bluntly stated, better to get to the point Lord Velaryon thought.

"Excellent, the full force of the Crownlands have now gathered here. Almost 40,000 men and over 200 ships, by all accounts. Lord Velaryon, you are hereby named the king's Master of Ships and will be given command of the Royal Fleet. Any hostile ship or fleet that you encounter are to be destroyed or captured. I do not want a single rebel ship given free passage over the Nrrow Sea."

"I see." Elwood frowns for a moment, considering the prospect of assailing the Eyrie quite the difficult task. "I presume we can expect support from the Dornish, and will we be marching on the Stormlands to seize Storm's End before Robert Baratheon can escape the Vale to raise his banners, Lord Hand?"

Excellent. Lord Velaryon said smilingly with a small nod, being elevated to such a high position is quite an honor. These rebellious subjects will find no safety on the seas. Lord Velaryon continued, but he wondered what will happen with the field army. Are there any plans for the field army aswell? he said wondering what course of action is to be taken.

"Yes, the Dornish are most likely on our side, though so far there have been no word. We will march south first, first to meet up with the lords that have declared their loyalty to the Iron Throne, before we move to crush any resistance in the Stormlands and take Storm's End. Without his keep, Robert Baratheon will be without proper support except for the North and the Vale. With our backs free, more lords should flock to our banners and give us enough strength to sweep away all the traitors to the king."

Excellent. Velaryon said though Dorne concerned him. Perhaps it would be wise to contact Dorne so we may coordinate our war efforts? he said smilingly
