Does Banner Saga 2 count as strategy, rpg, adventure or all 3 of them?

I wouldn't say action-adventure, but the others certainly. Not to mention indie!

How many categories can I nominate Witcher 3 Blood and Wine for?
I'd like to nominate it for quite a few, but it is technically just a DLC rather than a game.

Because of it's considerable size and quality (it is larger and longer than most new games) I will allow it to be nominated for more than just the DLC category.

    Hi,

I'am wondering if it is allowed to nominate a game that is released as early access in November. I would like to nominate Ultimate General Cival War in the categories Indie and strategy. Half the game is done so far but this half is keeps you busy for quite a while and plays really well. The game is made by the former modder of the Dartmod's.

I'm aware of this game, but unfortunately our rules stipulate an early access game can only be nominated the year of it's full release. Maybe next year old Darth will get his GOTY award

What about a best non-total war mod category, or do we have that in the modding awards?

Also what does LEGO Star Wars count as? I tentatively put it in platformer.

Good idea, will have to consider it for next year!

LEGO games fit in platformer, as well as action-adventure and GOTY. The others are a bit tenuous, but maybe sountrack if they make original scores and don't use the films'?

"Best Indie Game 2016 - What indie game showed Ubisoft how to do their bloody job again?"

Who nominated No Man's Sky? Come on people, you can do better than this.

    ~Wille
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.
    - The pranks played on the knight Jean de Joinville, 1249, 7th crusade.

The voting phase has ended, and from the bottom of my heart I'd like to thank everybody who participated! We have had an excellent year both in terms of games and voting. Next up is a tiebreaker vote for the best sountrack, between DOOM and Civilization VI, and after that you can look forward to finding the results in the next issue of the Gamer's Gazette!
