    Moved it out of program files and music works perfectly now, thanks a bunch!! Makes the playing experience far more immersive!

    Not sure what's happened with the Russian text, have tried re-downloading the 4.5 update and replacing the text file in the install directory with the new one but it hasn't fixed it

    Good news is Swyft and Marbrand are nearly done, bad news is the campaign is broken, instantly CTDing basically. Tried replacing the campaign files with backups but it's no good. Custom battles still work though.

    So, what you guys could do in order to restore the campaign? It's really sad to hear that.. campaign in this mod was really really enjoyable..

    The system log is pretty useless, it just says the same thing every time and doesn't give any real clue about the problem. But it's possible using an earlier backup will work, it's just weird it didn't with the ones I tried. Campaign worked yesterday and I can't see why the new units should crash it, they're not even added to the campaign at all.

    Finding a better base for the mod would be the best, it would also save us the trouble of importing all the units and then doing it all again later. But AFAIK we don't have that option ATM. I'll have to talk to Nygren, maybe adding the units to his version will work without the crash. In any case we won't release the mod with no campaign.

    Yes, i think that should work - i have no clue why it wouldn't work for you though. Maybe a small mistake in the BMDB or something? I think i could manage it if i get the new units.

    However, it will take some time implementing a regional system for all the houses. Not even sure there are enough hidden resources for all of them .

    Yeah I think doing the aopk thing would be better, make buildings called "hosue x" and make the units recruitable from them. I tried but couldn't get it working. I now backed up the world folder with an older one and the campaign doesn't ctd it just returns to main menu. Not sure if that's better.

    Finished the crakehall units, just reskinned mallisters to save time really but it works.

    I think the S07 premiere is a good time for releasing 4.6, since it will generate publicity and draw more people. Even in modb the mod's ranking has increased as we've come closer to the premiere ( the previews have also helped ). So S07 premiere would be the best time to release it and when you implement a new map ( cause that's the only thing this mod needs ) you release it as ver 5.0 or something.

    That's the option I had in mind too, as long as it's clear to people it's not the finished version. I think the 4.5/6 is misleading anyway, it's only called that cause the art mod was on 4.something when I made some units and added them to that base, so it grew from there but it's still basically the WTW 0.53 alpha with new units and UI. But there's a lot I'd like to change or add and I know if I tried to do it all before the next version it would never be out at all so a release after the weekend is probably what we're going for. Nygren is adding the bannermen units and I'll finish up the knights, I may do a quick Stannis, Ramsay, Renly and one or two more if I can. If we get the scenario editor working we could add some "historical" battles.

    Yeah, but buildings aren't my thing neither - shouldn't be that hard but haven't done it before. Only read about it when reading about the EDB - they could be recruited on the campaign but the question is how they shall be limited without reaching the limit of hidden resources. I may try to add buildings but that may cause trouble.


    If it returns to the main menu that means it's a faulthy text entry in the descr_strat most likely. Or that it isn't compatible with the EDB you've changed.

    It would be best to have it all in the release. But we'll try to aim for the premiere. It won't be done until late night/early morning monday to tuesday anyway. Could be delayed a day or so also but let's hope not.

    I don't know if there's a script running in aopk or if they're just edb entries. It looked simple enough to do the same thing anyway, and it gets around the hidden resources thing. Would be good for immersion to have those buildings too with some info on the houses and whatnot. Also easier than having entries for castles and stuff with 100 lines of units, with the houses we could just add spearmen, halberds, swordsmen, bowmen etc right there. We should also rebalance stats I think.

    Hey guys, i have a question about the units stats, will same units types ( Knights, spearmen etc ) have the same stats in all factions? For example will Bracken Horsemen-Knights have the same stats as, lets say, the Blackwood Knights? Cause that will be a bit unfair, many houses in Westeros have different specialities for example, Bracken = horsemen, Blackwoods = archers ( Tully faction ). Brax = heavy horsemen, Sarsfield = archers/mounted archers ( Lannister ). So will units like these be stronger than their normal ( other houses' units who do not specialise ) counterparts?

    I think stats should reflect equipment, so that there's a standard armor rating for padded/partial plate and full plate across all factions. Specialization could be through other things like Bracken cavalry starting with more experience (the jousting tilt trait could be added to the "house" building, and the archery range experience trait could be added to the Blackwood "house". Or they could get more available units of that type.

    The mod has some issues , they will fix every thing in the next update , which is soon...
