    Default Problem with RTR

    Okay so, I own Rome Total War Gold edition I bought off steam, great buy, super cheap rada rada rada.
    The only problem is, that it pre patches itself to BI 1.61, which wouldnt really be a problem since I also own RTW Alex.
    The problem Im running into is two fold, one, the RTW Alex I get from steam will not run it gives me an error I can't quote at this moment because I erased it off my drive, and two, when I go to install RTR 7 on my PC it asks for BI 1.60, which is a problem since I know of no way to rollback to prior patches on RTW, and like I said, when you download it from steam it comes pre-patched to 1.61.
    Ide really like to be able to play?

    Hi Rollerino! I just reinstalled to double check and RTRVII is playable via Steam.
    Just make a shortcut of the BI exe file and in the target line add "-nm -show_err -mod:RTRVII" without the quotation marks and run it via the shortcut, thus bypassing the launcher and it works fine
