Why the decision to start this mod in 1865?

I am curious to know why you decided to start in 1865. It's a shame this will not cover Crimean War but anyway, it's still a really interesting period. I really wish you the best and hopefully we will see this fantastic mod coming true.

It's so there was no risk of clashing with the ACW mod or indeed having to cover it in any way,,shape or form.

Understood, there's no problem. So you will start at 1865... How would you address the political changes in Germany as a result of Franco-Prussian War?

Prussia will be Germany right from the start, but some other German states will still be present. As the campaign goes on these are likely to be swallowed by either Austria or Prussia/Germany (or possibly even France), depending on who gets the upper hand.

Thank you Tango. Would you consider including units from other mods? I know you will not cover American Civil War but if my memory is good... I remember there are two mods for Empire Total War yet covering the period of your mod: Russo-Turkish War by PunitorMaximus and British East India Company.
