Very strange and something I have never seen before, but I believe that to be the issue.

It is very strange, to the point that I don't believe it's possible because it shouldn't work like that. More like he skipped ahead, was testing Tyrells capability, and accidentally uploaded the wrong turn.

Tyrell doesn't. The only way those forces got there is if Ramble moved them, so like I said, my bet is he was testing Tyrells movement/capability and uploaded the wrong save by mistake. No bug.
