Would someone with UU3D be willing to export a couple files for me?
I posted this in the Empire modding section last week but hoped I might get some more visibility over here. Specifically, would someone with Ultimate Unwrap 3D be willing to import a .variant_weighted_mesh and .anim file and export a .MS3D and a .FBX for me? I have uploaded the two files in a 7zip archive.
I want to mess around with this animation in Milkshape and 3DS Max but I cannot justify the purchase of UU3D to do this. I have looked all through the forums to see if there is any other way to get an existing animation file into either Milkshape or 3DS Max, but I am coming up short. After reading through the excellent materials created by Wangrin I have come to the conclusion that I will not be able to do this without help (or a purchase I am unable to make). I am hoping to get both a .MS3D and a .FBX file so I can try messing with the animation in both programs and see which I like more for the purpose.
Side question: I see in the demo version of UU3D that I can import multiple animation files with my mesh. If a mesh is imported with multiple animation files and exported as a .MS3D and .FBX to the animations remain separated in the other programs? For instance, if I import a mesh with walking, firing and death animations and export it for Milkshape and Max, will those programs see the individual animations as distinct and separate or will something else happen to them?
