Need help with installation

After a long hiatus, I am back and tried to install RS III into D:\RTW\RS III: Installed a clean copy of RTW and BI and Alexander. Downloaded RS 2.5 and installed into D:\RTW\RS III, the same with RSIII.

The Launcher does not open the game but displays the following 3 error messages:

1. Installed in wrong folder (D:\RTW\RSIII
2.Engine:RomeTW-BI.exe, Faction campaign: -mod: play_rome
3.In total: RomeTW-BI.exe -mod:play_rome -show_err -nm -movie_cam

Can somebody tell me what went wrong?

If you did everything correct, the launcher on the desktop should work, if it doesn't, delete it and create a new shortcut from the Roma Surrectum II.exe file located in Rome Total War/launcher.
I'm no tech geek but alternatively try installing rtw/bi/alx into programs (x86) open a new folder in D:/drive & rename it to your choice >copy & paste contents of rtw/bi/alx folder from programs(x86) into that folder then install Roma Surrectum on top. This action also leaves you with a permanent "fresh" install of rtw/bi/alx to use in the same fashion for other mods. At present I have 10 mods installed on my computer to play at any time I'm in the mood for a change. I assume you are using the disk version not Steam.

If you installed your clean copy of RTW into "C:\RTW", then you must also install RSIII into that SAME folder. Installing into C:\RTW\RSIII will result in an error.

The original game installed and copied as follows: RTW\Rome - Total War\
I installed 2.5 and RSIII into RTW, which of course does not work. I will install again and hope it works.

Sorry, for all this - I am 83 years old and must be getting old!! But I love your Mod. Be ready for the Senior Appreciation Award, if there is one.
