Commanders
-Consul Lucius Villius Tappulus: Survival +1, Autocritas +3, Wealth +2 (Ludii Romani)
-Tribunus Militum Lucius Aelius Sejanus (XII): Battles +3
-Tribunus Militum Quintus Fabius Ambustus (XIII): Battles +1, Wealth +1
-Tribunus Militum Marcus Villius Tappulus (XIV): Battle +1, Survival +1
The infantry will line up in two lines, 20 cohorts in each - 12th and 13th at the front, 14th and 11th in the rear. The cavalry will evenly be deployed on the flanks. The Roman army will then advance on the Gaul enemy in slow marching speed.
Once the army is close enough, pilum will be thrown and the legionaries will continue at marching speed on the enemy. The first line will engage the enemy in close combat, while the second line is held in reserve for the time being. The cavalry will screen for any potential flanking attacks.
If the cavalry on the flanks are beaten back, 5 cohorts from the rear will move up on the left and/or right flank to defend against flanking attacks. If they are able to push back flank attacks, they will move to flank the enemy main line.
The remaining reserve in the second line will join the main line from behind and begin to push the enemy back, or if any holes are created that must be filled up or pushed through. Should the cohorts that protect the flank get the opportunity to flank the Aedui army, the second line will join the main line.
