The Invasion of Asia

The Pontic King Mithridates IV, hearing of the Gallic invasions, launches an invasion into Asia. Asia has welcomed Mithridates to drive the Romans from their lands and establish Pontic rule over all of Turkey. They have begun systematically slaughtering all Roman citizens they find in their territory. Some 15,000 Romans are killed, mostly equites.

40,000 Infantry (10,000 light skirmisher infantry), 3,000 Cavalry (1,000 heavy cavalry) and 35 chariots.
100 Liburnae, 25 Quinquereme, 50 Trireme, 50 Hexareme, 25 Decareme.

The Roman 5th legion, Rushes back to Asia II to protect the capital of Pergamum.
40 Quinquarimes, 2 Hexeremes and 25 Triremes will return there as well.

Pergamum's walls protect it from immediate assault, but the rest of the province becomes the scene of untold horrors. Thousands of Romans are murdered.

The Pro-consul orders all Romans to retreat towards Pergamum.

The 36 ships Marcus left under Publius also join the main fleet back to Asia II after a change of plans. Accompanied by 8600 Marines from Side.
Complete fleet is now 103 ships strong with 8600 Marines. 5 Hexes, 50 Quins and 48 Triremes.

The Army of Mithridates spawn in Asia III. They march forth to Pergamon, deploying their scouts to hunt for proconsular troops.

The Pontic Navy sails forth into the Aegean Sea, sending forth scouts to discover the locations of Roman ships.

Marcus's Fleet of 103 ships strong with 8600 Marines. 5 Hexes, 50 Quins and 48 Triremes moves towards the Port in Side(Cilician sea) = 1 hour travel time.
Legio V and the Roman citizens in Pergamum are loaded upon the ships to evacuate towards Side as well.
