Medieval II Installation: Does It matter where you Install It?

I know that this isn't the Right Forum to ask but, EH.
So as the Title says, Does It matter where you Install It? I Currently have it Installed on Program Files x86 the 32 bit one. Well I am getting quite a bit of lag Especially on a 14k man battle (Lol). I Know that It is an Old game but both my Gpu and Processor should be able to handle It without Lag.

Current Pc Specs:
i7-4790K
Asus Gtx 970 Strix
8 GB RAM

Welcome to the forum, xUnHolyGod.

It shouldn't matter where you install it. In fact, installing MTW2 outside the program files folder is one of the "standard" recommendations made about how to possibly solve performance issues.
