Working on the save now...it will be up before I go to sleep tonight.

Edit - Renly Baratheon is slain during the conquest of Tumbleton. We also manage to defeat Garlan Tyrell's army by pulling it out of ambush. This move is usually allowed in Westeros hotseats and it has not been banned here.

Indeed, I've not seen pulling out of ambush forbidden anywhere as I can recall - it has been discussed though.

Seems Highgarden itself is at risk, I wonder if he will be able to hold it even with me marching south to cut you off. Having beaten 6 out of lannisters 9 ships I'm fairly confident to hold that front so... War comes!

Heh, I thought if the whole army doesn't have together any MP left it wouldn't launch an ambush attack. I guess it isn't the case.

No, it seems that way, but if you save and reload you can actually see them getting into ambush position

Well, you added to the complication a bit, but it was more my activities in the Stormlands that took me a long time to figure out this turn.

GG Joe. You grabbed your victory on the "almighty, powerful" Renly faction.

Bitterbridge and Ashford are taken by storm, with another Renly faction leader being slain in the process. Without any more family members, the faction is destroyed. Lastly, I took Cider Hall from the rebels and bribed a single Stark scout not to send reports to his superiors anymore.

GG Dragon. It was tough. Early on I decided that the only way for me to match Mith’s initial success was to play methodically and not rush into anything (aka “The Putler” way). So I spent several turns’ worth of income in building up a strong navy to maintain control of the seas. Then after that I slowly built up my armies and eventually I would have gone on the offensive somewhere. I did probe around Harrenhal briefly but Mith forted appropriately and I could tell that no breakthrough was going to be possible there. You probably became understandably frustrated by me essentially turtling in the Stormlands, but I was in the unenviable position of having to defend two entrances into the Stormlands which were too far apart to cover with a single army in the middle. So turtling for a time was necessary. Only by using free upkeep could I gather the money necessary to continue to build up.

Obviously I will not be turtling any further in this game. This is going to be a dog fight to the finish.

It wasn't tough Joe. You made the only, right call you can do with Stannis, which makes Renly can't do anything in this tournament. I am not gonna bring up the retreats I got in this tournament, because that is engine fault, but those were the most retarded ones I ever saw, especially the one at Old Oak. I tried to take Crakehall, but Clegane defeated my armies. Now for some reason my army retreated next to old oak, not into the castle, NEXT TO IT! So I can't fort them off and suprise, suprise Lannister armies can reach them again in next turn. This essentially destroyed an almost full stack for me, which I lost for no goddamn reason, but whatever. I was forced to use more forces there, to stop Clegane pushing into more. Which ended with that I have not enough forces againts you in Stormlands. The game is fun when from the start both lannister and Stannis has 5k income from turn 1, meanwhile renly has few hundred. Then of course the troops moved out of free upkeep, Renly economy ceases to exist for the whole game until I lost that stack to Clegane. But it was already too late. You bolstered your forces too much for me, even with that I could recruit again it wasn't enough. Also that my armies retreats into positions, where they can't even be forted off properly is just plain usefull once again.
It was pointed out multiple times, that Renly has simply no economy in this tournament and his two neighboor, Stannis and Lannister, both have narrow paths to defend, meanwhile the Reach is wide open. There is impossible for Renly to defend on multiple fronts. No economy means no forts and even if I move everything againts you or lannister, then the other faction will see easily that Renly is wide open.
And not even counting ships, which also needs to be maked or lannister can just sail in and take everything from Oldtown. Problem is your first turn money goes into ships and that is all Renly can afford for multiple turns. The restriction on destroying building is just icing on the cake, as archers, stables, churches so useful.

The only way Renly can win if his two neighboors their moves up. In this tournament that is highly impossible given who participates in this. The fact that renly only won in one tournament is the fact as I said. Renly only wins if one of his neighboors makes this godly mistake letting him do anything, be it lannister or Stannis. You need only one stack to stop him doing anything and scout properly and he can't do anything.
