Hi,
I am an old fan of Darthmod, going back to the days of ETW. Once gain, Darthmod did a fantastic improvement over vanilla shogun2. However, just a few comments after several hours of playing Darth Shogun2 and vanilla shogun2:

Faction specific units:
1. The availability of these units are a bit unbalanced across different factions. Takeda fire cav is available at the start of the campaign but Oda long spear ashigaru is not available until you build a fortress. That's a lot of investment: 5k gold and countless turns. It would be better and more fun (gaming wise) to have players work for those specialty units instead of providing them for free at the beginning. Perhaps instead of fortress, you at least need the 2nd upgrade of the main castle to have specialty units available for any faction.

Enlarged battle starting area:
1. Works fine on normal field battles, but just feel a bit too large. But when defending a bridge, the starting area is way too back and restricted.
2. Possible to enlarge the area of castle defending battles, so that players can position some units outside the castle to make the inside less crowded?

Provincial resource distribution:
1. This is probably a problem laid down by the vanilla game. The resources distribution is not diverse enough across the map and not historical accurate. For instance, the area near Oda's Owari has way too much concentration of Ninja specialty province: 42. Omi, 20. Iga and 32. Kii. That's 3 Ninja provinces within 5 mile radius. At the same time other types of resources such as smithing, crafting are lacking. Historically, famous Ninja clans spread throughout Japan. For instance, Hojo's province is famous for Fuma clan ninjas under their legendary leader, Fuma Kotaro. There are also many other famous clans in north Honshu and Kyushu. But this game makes it look like most Ninjas come from area around Iga.

2. Oda's Owari and nearby Mino are famous rice production basins in medieval Japan. People are richer and more numerous than provinces like Kai or Hita. That's why Oda Nobunaga could easily raise 30k-40k standing armies with only 2 provinces while his opponents such as Takeda and Usuegi could only usually muster 10-20k with 3-4 provinces. These ingame provinces should be given farming specialty instead of nothing.

3. Another reason why Oda could field mass matchlock forces is because he controls 2 major gun production centers in central Japan. One of which is located in Omi province, which also has pretty big concentration of swordsmiths. So instead of Ninja, Omi should really have either smithing or crafting

Battle AI:
Darth did a great job on the original AI. But some of the old sickness still afflict the AI such as charging in and sacrificing the general at the beginning of the battle. One or 2 units charging after enemy cav and get kited all over the map.

Diplomatic nonsense:
Why every time you have diplomatic dealing with a non-allied faction, you have to wait 10 turns before you can declare war on them if you don't want to suffer diplomatic penalties. Just an example. In my Takeda campaign, I want to attack Hojo, he is allied with Imagawa who is also allied with me. The only way to attack Hojo without losing Imagawa's alliance is to give him money or military access and have them break with Imagawa then declare war on them. Then here comes the trouble. After you made the deal for them to break with Imagawa, it's considered as a diplomatic dealing and you have to wait for 10 turns. If you wait, Hojo immediate re-allied with Imagawa and you just paid them for nothing. It is absurd. Also, once you get this nasty penalty, it takes 50+ turns to wear off. One point reduction per turn, that's just absurd.

Castle downgrade:
This problem may be hardcoded in the vanilla game and cann't be fixed by mod. AI like to upgrade castles in useless provinces. If you take it over, it just eats into your food count.
