Information Thread for Potential New High Elven Units

The High Elves, or Asur (High Elves in Eltharin) are amongst the most ancient and powerful mortal civilizations within the Warhammer World, a race whose history, achievements and deeds have been made legendary long before the rise of even mankind, during the time of this world's creation. This mighty people all hail from their homeland of Ulthuan, a massive island-continent that lies within the center of the Great Ocean, in-between the civilized lands of the Old World and the cold and inhospitable lands of the New World.

Baith-Caradan aka Dragon Masters = "Some say they are only legend, the Elven Baith-Caradan. Once, it is said, there were many, and they flew their dragons across the great Western Ocean between the Elf lands of Ulthuan and the Old World. Now, no-one knows where they are, or even if they exist. Ancient ballads tell of then fighting the Orcs and their kin at the dawn of Human history, and some chronicles claim that a handful fought hordes of Chaos two centuries ago, but they have not been seen since. Some doubt that they were ever more than the product of a minstrel's fancy, but according to Elven legend the last Dragon Masters sleep deep in the forest, waiting for the time when they are needed to save the world once more."

None can match the nobility of the Ellyrian breed which come only from the Kingdom of Ellyrion and nowhere else in the world. The Cadai are openly worshipped and revered by the High Elves and by the Wood Elves, with large temples and shrines as well as clergy and devotees who publicly profess their faith. The High Elves seem to revere Asuryan, The Creator most highly, while the Wood Elves assign equally high reverence to Kurnous, the Hunter and Isha, The Mother. The Dark Elves seem to mostly ignore the Cadai."

    Asuryan, the Creator
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Asuryan, the Creator is the greatest and oldest of all the Elf gods. He is lord of the Cadai, the Gods of the heavens. According to the High Elves he has been shaping their destiny according to his plan since the dawn of time. When a quarrel breaks out or there is a disagreement between the gods in heaven, his is the final say and the other gods submit to his judgement. From his diamond throne Asuryan observes the world, draped in a cloak of lustrous white feathers, bearing a sceptre and wearing a mask which is half white and half black. Asuryan can take the form of a Phoenix or a Great Eagle when he chooses, and he is sometimes known as the Phoenix King to many High Elves, despite the ruler of Ulthuan sharing the same name.

The most common of Asuryan's symbols is a stylised pyramid with a phoenix in the centre spreading its huge wings. At the tip of the pyramid is portrayed the eternal flame as a sun shining rays of light. The chief temple to Asuryan is the Shrine of Asuryan on the Isle of Flame in the Inner Sea north of Lothern. It is here that the new Phoenix King is tested before being crowned by passing through the ever-burning flame at the heart of the shrine.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Hoeth is the God of Knowledge, Learning and Wisdom, and is the patron of Elven wizards and scholars. Hoeth is prayed to when an Elf faces a difficult quandary or confusing problem, for his wisdom can help see the truth of the matter. Elven wizards also pray to Hoeth when preparing for a powerful magical ritual.

Isha is the Goddess of Fertility, protector of the natural order and mother of the Elven race. She is worshipped by the Wood Elves of the Old World as one of their dominant deities, although other Elves pray to her to aid farming, for protection during childbirth, or for help when abroad in the wild.

    Kurnous, the Hunter
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Kurnous is the God of the Hunt, and the lord of wild places. All Elves venerate him, for he is the husband of Isha, and the father of their race, but none do so more than the Wood Elves, who believe that it is only they that live the existence of which Kurnous would approve. Kurnous requires that a hunter never kills animals for sport, but slays only ravening beasts or those whose bounty of meat and hide are necessary for survival. Violating this creed is dangerous the world over, for Kurnous is a vengeful deity, but it is never more foolish than when in Athel Loren.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Kurnous

Hunters of Kurnous = All hunters venerate Kurnous, for he watches over them in the wilds. He requires that a hunter never kill animals for sport, but slay only dangerous beasts, and hunts only enough game to eat.

    Ladrielle, Lady of Mists
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Ladrielle, the Lady of Mists, is the protector of all things that are hidden or lost, and patron of travellers in the wilderness. By tradition, she is the only goddess to any longer walk the mortal world, and there are tales of her coming to the aid of those lost amidst the mists of Yvresse or upon the trackless ocean. Her worship is therefore chiefly observed in those cities, such as Lothern and Tor Yvresse, where Elven wanderlust has never faded.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Lileath the Maiden is the Goddess of Dreams and Fortune, worshiped as part of a triumvirate along with Isha (whom she is daughter to) and Morai-heg. She is the patron of seers and prophets, and is prayed to for clarity, prophecy, and foresight, especially by an Elf facing a great challenge or difficult decision, or in need of some good luck.

    Loec, the Shadow Dancer
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
He is the trickster, patron of dances, songs and plays. The Elf legends tell that he often saves the souls of the dead from Slaanesh by tricking the Dark Prince out of his prize. And such is true, though no rescue is guaranteed, and even successes cost the Shadow Dancer more of his strength than he would care to admit.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Loec

Mage of Loec = A trickster mage dedicated to Loec.

    Mathlann, Lord of the Sea
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Mathlann is a fickle god, distrusted by many of Ulthuan's folk. He is the King of Storm and Sea, ruler of all those who dwell below the waves, and has little love for any of dry land's creatures. Only the mariners of Cothique and Lothern have any love for the Lord of the Deeps, and they embrace him as patriarch far more willingly than they do Kurnous or Asuryan. Such behavior is disapproved of in other corners of Ulthuan, where tradition portrays Mathlann as a destructive deity, but such scorn has little impact on those Elves whose lives and livelihoods rely on safe passage of the open seas.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Mathlann

Priest of Mathlann = A priest dedicated to Mathlann.

    Morai-heg, the Crone
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Morai-heg (also known as the Crow-Goddess or the Crone) is the Elven Goddess of Fate and Death. Within her rune pouch, she holds the fate of all mortals. It is considered a dark practice to openly pay tribute to her. Neither Cadai nor Cytharai, the Elves only pay enough tribute to her so that she will not harm them, or so that they may attempt to forestall the inevitability of death.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Morai-heg

Flock of Ravens = "Ravens are said to be Morai-heg's messengers. They soar across Ulthuan and the barbaric lands of the younger races, bearing snippets of the Crone Goddess' wisdom to those that have the wit to interpret the signs. Thus, Ulthuan's archer regiments hark at every coarse raven song, and mourn the passing of each member of the chorus. Such actions are thought to be the obsessions of simple minds by some of the nobility, but the archers care not. It does not do to mock Morai-heg, they say. She knows whether the arrows they loose will find their mark or not, and such knowledge grants a power that should not be offended."
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Morai-heg

Herald of Morei-heg = An important priest of the Crone Goddess, uses a bow.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Morai-heg

Nagarythe Archers of Morai-Heg = Only on the inland borders of Nagarythe are there permanent settlements of any size, and it is from these that the realms few archer regiments are recruited. The Elves of Nagarythe pray to the crone goddess for her aid in their eternal quest for vengeance.
    https://www.scribd.com/doc/250196522...igh-Elves-2012

Nagarythe Spearmen of Morai-Heg = Only on the inland borders of Nagarythe are there permanent settlements of any size, and it is from these that the realms few spear regiments are recruited. The Elves of Nagarythe pray to the crone goddess for her aid in their eternal quest for vengeance.

    Vaul, the Smith
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Vaul is armourer to the hosts of heaven and patron to blacksmiths and artisans. He is both crippled and blind, wounded in the ancient wars of the gods when he challenged Khaine. Enslaved to Khaine's will, Vaul is forced to make weapons of extraordinary power for the War God's eternal battle against the great enemy. Vaul has thus laboured for time untold but his hatred for Khaine has never slackened.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Vaul

Priests of Vaul = The priests ritually blind themselves when they enter the Order of Vaul. The act of putting out their eyes has greater significance than merely leaving the priests sightless. While they lose their earthly vision, they gain something far more. They are bestowed with the skill and shrewdness of their patron deity, and the understanding of the sorrow and suffering that Vaul has undergone to protect the Elves.

Only upon drawing nearer do onlookers see the suggestion of white horses with flowing manes cavorting in the depths of the bubbling water, and hear whinnying neighs of amusement in the surrounding foam.

Life Elementals = Life Elementals are allied to the Elementals of the Earth. Unlike those, however, they are tall and graceful, as a young tree or a beautiful woman. They are creatures of the growing earth, the motivating force that gives life to plants and plant spirits. As such, they are revered especially by the Elves (presumably High/Wood Elves).

Kraken = The Kraken is a giant squid-like creature with hundreds of tentacles that end in cruel suckers and vicious barbs. Sea Dragon = As the name suggests, it’s a close relative of the dragons of Ulthuan. Legend has it that in the sundering wars between Elves, a dark elf dragon was struck from the sky by a mightly high elf champion. The dragon fell into the sea, where the dark, cooling waters bathed his wounds and provided refuge from battle. It’s said that the sea dragons are descended from that beast.

Sea Elemental = Some say that as the ages pass, Triton and his kind slowly become more like the seas they are lord over, turning wilder and less controllable until there is very little to distinguish them from the towering waves and raging storms of the ocean. The Sea Elementals, living mountains of blue-black water that rear out of the water in the barely recognisable shape of a huge man, are perhaps some stage of this process.

Triton = Triton loathes the evil races of the world, such as Orcs, Chaos, and Skaven, but this is due to their nature and the effect they have on the world around them. For Dark Elves he reserves his deepest hatred, as they have captured and twisted his beloved creatures of the deep.

    Regiments of Renown

Famous across the Old World and the New World beyond those shores, these regiments, companies, batteries and monsters have had their names etched on the annuals of history. Whether these deeds were done through heroics or villainy is unimportant, all that matters is that they served the Phoenix throne and its many Kingdoms above and beyond the call of duty.

Default Re: Information Thread for Potential New High Elven Units

    Special and Named Characters

Here is contained a full list of every possible Legendary Lord or Legendary Hero that I could find for the High Elves. I have split them into different categories and whether they suit being Lords or Heroes, so it is easier to know which they are best suited to being added to, if someone wished to add them to the game. Also, there are a fair number that I couldn't place into one territory or other, so I guess they'd be free to put wherever someone wanted. Without further ado, here we go.

Loremaster Shrinastor = ”A curt and ill-tempered mage, Shrinastor was notable for making the rest of the garrison long for battle, if only it would cease his complaining. The Loremaster served on Eagle Gate only from fear of dishonour, rather than out of a strong sense of duty. Like many of his kind, Shrinastor resented being drawn away from his studies in the White Tower, especially to perform such busywork as the endless patrols that were inevitably the garrison's lot.”

Caladris = Caladris is relatively young by the standards of High Elf Mages, being a mere 150 years old. Like many of his race, however, Caladris has a natural affinity for the art of sorcery and an ability to manipulate the Winds of Magic that far surpasses the wizards of younger races. This, combined with decades of tutelage under the Archmages of the fabled White Tower, have made Caladris a powerful Mage.

Eldyra, Princess of Tiranoc = Unlike many nobles of her kingdom, Eldyra forsook battle from a chariot's fighting platform. In part, this was a throwback to her days as Tyrion's squire, when no chariot could have kept pace with glorious Malhandir. Eldyra preferred to place her faith in living creatures, rather than machines. She was greatly envious of Eltharion's mount, Stormwing, and would have dearly loved to know the loyalty of such a beast. As it was, she was content to see battle from the saddle of her steed Maladhros who, though not as swift as Malhandir, nor so ferocious as Stormwing, was a canny and quick-witted stallion.

Eltharion the Grim, Warden of Tor Yvresse = Eltharion the Grim is one of the greatest of all Elven lords. Many times has he achieved what would have been thought impossible. It was Eltharion who was the first of Ulthuan's generals to dare an assault on Naggarond itself and live to speak of it, and he who finally brought about the defeat of Waaagh! Grom. For his valour in that battle, Eltharion was elected Warden of Tor Yvresse and, though he is a dour ruler, the people of that fair city love him dearly.

He gave command to the young, but highly accomplished Prince Aurelian of Yvresse, granting him stewardship of his mighty Dragon Ship, Indraugnir’s Flame, as a sign of his authority.

Princess Anarelle of Yvresse = ”The voices within the amulet, the spirits of previous wielders, gave her the spells to call upon, aiding her in the right incantations. She even slammed her hands to the ground, breaking the ground apart and sending shards of stone to shred dark elves and blast them away down the slopes. She fought back against sorceresses and Malekith himself, unraveling their spells as well as casting her own.”

However, what doubts there where quickly vanished during the Wars of Reclamation, when the host of the plaguelord Septimus Rot threatened to overwhelm Eagle Gate's defences. She planned to test the weapon's abilities by using it on the Empire, but her plans were thwarted by two things: Skaven under the command of Thanquol attacking her forces, trying to steal the Harp for themselves, and the intervention of Gotrek and Felix. Magical Weapons, Armour, Amulets, Scrolls and Other Items, continued

    Mythic Items
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Arabyan Puzzlebox = ”This elegantly crafted container houses many hundreds of glittering gemstones, each with the power to harness the Winds of Magic if used in the correct manner. Alas, the user can never truly be sure that the compartment he has opened will contain the gems he needed.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Black Book of Ibn Naggazar = ”Ibn Naggazar was a brilliant, if somewhat maniacal, Arabyan sorcerer. Whilst it is unknown whether his madness sprang from isolation, too many attempts at creating intoxicating ‘elixirs’ or the honeyed promises of whispering Daemons, there can be no doubt that he was utterly insane. No rational wizard would create a book inked on the skin of his closest family, much less constantly follow its advice.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Blade of Last Resort = ”This sword has ever had a twisted sense of humour, seeking out overmatched heroes and aiding them against a chosen foe. However, the Blade of Last Resort draws its strength from a victor’s glorious lifeblood; those that best an opponent with its aid themselves have scant moments to live.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Dawnstar Sword = ”Legend goes that this blade was forged in the first rays of light to strike the world. The energy of this auspicious enchantment remains embedded deep within the burnished blade, waiting to be called forth once more in a blaze of glory.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Dodecahedron of Continental Drift = ”Said to have been left behind by the Old Ones, this peculiar object can be used to remake the world. Each alteration to the Dodecahedron’s external matrix is reflected on the land around the user. Its ill-considered use can easily prove catastrophic…”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Fozzrik’s Floating Fortress = ”Though Fozzrik’s magical aptitude led him to become a wizard, he never lost his love for architecture. Many of the Old World’s cities have been built around immaculate structures that Fozzrik created from stone and sorcery, but more prized by far are his floating fortresses - buildings that move under their own power and sprout defences to repel intruders.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Giantkin Helm = ”After constantly being told ‘We expect big things from you’ by his Elector Count father, Heinrich von Roth spent much of the family fortune commissioning an artefact that would help him achieve greatness. Alas, he was to learn that when dealing with wizards, precision of diction is just as important as largesse of payment.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Living Deadwood Staff = ”Arboreonecromancy is a little-practiced branch of wizardry - any mystic crazed enough to attempt it normally transfers his attentions back to raising zombies and skeletons, rather than undead trees. However, legends tell of the Archmage Sycamo, ‘The Daemon Carpenter of Estalia’, who not only perfected a method of reanimating trees from their residual elements, but also filling them with astounding vigour. Much of Sycamo’s work has, fortunately, been lost to the intervening aeons, but the Living Deadwood Staff never stays missing for long…”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Paranoth’s Piquet Fence = ”Paranoth was a famous travelling mage, who trod every road ‘twixt Cathay and Naggarond. Naturally, only a particularly foolish wizard would journey such roads without defences, so Paranoth wove himself a sorcerous fence to defend his encampments whilst he and his companions slept.”

Rockcharmer’s Flute = ”Androgast Gildheim was the first man in the Empire to master this granite flute, but its origins lie hidden in the mists of time. Some say that the Rockcharmer’s Flute was used to destroy the old Dwarfen realms, others that it sank the fabled realm of Seidon. However, the most popular tale concerns a drunken Halfling, the Rockcharmer’s Flute, a jug of lamp oil, a plate of sausages and the accidental creation of the Grey Mountains.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Windcatcher Prism = ”This peculiar bauble was crafted long ago, its purpose very much tied to storms of magic. Once a particular Wind of Magic rises to a certain cataclysmic level, the Windcatcher Prism absorbs and rechannels a portion of its power, bestowing the bearer - and his immediate allies - with an avataric aspect of the ascendant Wind of Magic.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Woodwaker’s Wand = ”Once upon a time, all the woods in the world were linked. Some say this great forest was alive, in a curious sort of way, and that every tree that now grows retains a portion of its vigour and intelligence just waiting to be revived.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Wyssan’s Weighted Dice = ”This set of weighted dice is one amongst many forged by Arctovian Wyssan over the course of a long and (unsurprisingly) successful wagering career. At the bearer’s command, these skull-marked cubes play havoc with the laws of causality; turning certainty into bleak misfortune.”

The Golden Talwar = "Tyrion could not take his eyes from the king’s weapon, its blade curved in the manner of southland warriors, and golden like the last arc of sunset. The blade had been a gift from one of the coastal potentates of Ind, a land of exotic spices and strange ritual. Finubar had saved the life of the king’s daughter, and had received this wondrous blade in return. No smith trained in the Anvil of Vaul could unlock the mysteries of its creation, but the power of the magic worked into its blade was beyond question."

Teclis sat cross-legged before the Sphere of Destiny and contemplated his dream.”

    Lore Information Regarding High Elves

When a series is being continuously updated for a quarter of a century there is bound to be a massive amount of lore that has been created for it. This is an attempt to collate important snippets of lore that I have found during my research into units. I am presenting these in note form rather than in quote form due to the sheer amount of information that is potentially able to be displayed here, but I hope that it will prove useful or interesting to you regardless.

    General Information
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    - Of old the Great Eagles greatest friends were the High Elves, and in former times they would talk to them of the movements of Orc tribes and progress of Chaos.
    - Elven Steeds are almost always grey or dappled, and more occasionally pure white. Bays and chestnuts are very uncommon and are regarded as a indication of poor blood. Black horses are said to have evil tempers and are shunned.
    - It was the Elves who first brought real horses to the Old World, and all breeds of horses known to Man are descended from elven steeds that have mixed with wild horses.

https://i.imgur.com/dSItWeA.png Warhammer 3rd Edition Battle Bestiary

    - Few races are so handsome, or physically imposing as the elves
    https://i.imgur.com/cXKPDAQ.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - All elves are imaginative and ingenious.
    https://i.imgur.com/pMFdpWd.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - The lands of the Phoenix King are not always peaceful, and sometimes the various kingdoms will war against one another.
    - These lands are prone to civil unrest, kinstrife and banditry despite their relative stability.
    - The elves of the coastal realms are known as great sea-farers, traders and warriors.
    - They are sometimes called Sea Elves, and it’s their constant vigilance that protects Ulthuan from invasion.

    https://i.imgur.com/3bE9GQ3.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - The elves that live on the inner plains are commonly called High Elves
    - They are a proud people and intolerant of lesser races
    - The High Elves prefer to fight mounted, or in chariots, alongside their immediate kinfolk
    - All elves are superb craftsmen

    https://i.imgur.com/3bE9GQ3.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - The great annual fairs of the Elven Kingdom feature all manner of martial sports
    - It is at these tournaments that the best archers are selected to serve in the bow-armed fighting regiments
    - The humble elven folk who serve the land owners in the fields and the artisans in the towns, muster together into bands based upon their area
    - They are, literally, warriors associated with a particular locality, but they are mighty warriors nonetheless

    https://i.imgur.com/3rj4Cai.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - Elves are very mindful of their relationships and family bonds, no matter how distant or ancient
    https://i.imgur.com/3rj4Cai.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - Conch shells are sometimes used as horns.
    https://i.imgur.com/1ErMiTf.png Warhammer Chronicles 2003

    - An elven adventurer tends to be an exile, often self-inflicted.
    - The artwork of the elves is highly stylised, intricate work with layers of meaning. Human art in comparison is crude.
    - They can learn to control their dreams.
    - The elven language is highly complex. Few humans speak it fluently, and those who do have dedicated their lives to it.
    - What most races think of as elvish is in fact a pidgin-tongue, baby-talk used by the shorter lived and elven young.
    - Elves have both mild claustrophobia, due to never experiencing small, dark places, and mild agoraphobia.
    - Elves are mildly uneasy in such situations.
    - Elves constantly mull over, and treasure, memories of their pasts.
    - Due to the elves eidetic memories they need to 'dump' their memory to be able to cope, doing so with a practice called Bran Wa Shin.
    - Away rom their own kind, elves tend to go mildly berserk in their fun-seeking since the traditional pleasures of the arts are no longer available to them.
    - No elf is ever truly happy in human society.
    - Many elves go through a short phase as adventurers, seeing the rest of the world.
    - Elves enjoy giving presents, especially creating beautiful ones to give to others.

    https://i.imgur.com/yTFOYTa.png White Dwarf 92
    https://i.imgur.com/TSJ6SSd.png White Dwarf 92
    https://i.imgur.com/09XLFvQ.png White Dwarf 92

    - There are many arcane elven treasures lost in far off lands which the elves seek to recover.
    - Elf wizards are able to comprehend the vast spectrum of this magical essence in its entirety and can channel and manipulate any of the shades of magic.

    https://i.imgur.com/1ig3Otp.png White Dwarf 153
    https://i.imgur.com/jzzN05Q.png White Dwarf 153

    - The high elves are great sailors and explorers.
    https://i.imgur.com/IOrQCjw.png White Dwarf 233

    - Few high elves become mercenary generals, and those that do are often exiles, banished for dire misdeeds or forsaking their kindred with self-imposed exile.
    - One or two elven mercenary generals had the misfortune to be shipwrecked and stranded in distant lands.
    - Often people are unable to distinguish between high elf and dark elf mercenaries.
    - High Elves are often blamed for the vile cruelty of the merciless Dark Elf generals.

    https://i.imgur.com/KRVCP5S.png White Dwarf 234

    - It is perhaps impossible for elves, dwarves or halflings to become Vampires.
    - Elves see vampires as yet more evidence of the inherent weakness of humans. Elves rarely turn to dark magic to lengthen their lives due to living so long to begin with.

Warhammer 2nd Edition RPG - Night’s Dark Masters

    - The first created race (after lizardmen) by the Old Ones were the Elves, who learned the lore of magic in the lap of the gods.
    Lizardmen 7th Edition Army Book

    - Every High Elf kingdom is expected to provide regiments of troops to fight in the Phoenix King's armies.
https://i.imgur.com/f4v4l9D.png Warhammer Supplement: The Island of Blood

    - It's the duty of every high elf to escape if captured by their ancient foes.
Tales of the Old World: Mormacar's Lament

    - The High Elves have long stood sentinel against the fell forces of Chaos, battling the arch enemy at every turn.
    - The High Elves have learned of the existence of the Nemesis Crown. Finubar the Seafarer's ambassadors in the courts of the Empire have sent word back to the Phoenix King. Normally the High Elves remain aloof from the petty affairs of the lesser races, but an item as dreadful as the Nemesis Crown must not be allowed to be found.
    - Aware of the carnage that would be unleashed, Finubar has despatched several of Ulthuan's greatest champions into the fray, each leading an army of battle-hardened High Elf Warriors.
    - The seers and mystics on Ulthuan cannot yet predict the outcome of the Nemesis War.
    - Should an Orc don the crown it will be a dread time for the forces of Light.
    - Already factions within the courts of Ulthuan have begun politicking, pushing for Ulthuan to support either the Dwarfs or the Empire more fully.
    - Some argue that should the High Elves assist Karl Franz to gain the Crown, then it will pay dividends in the long term, making an unbreakable bond with the powerful Empire.
    - Others claim that out of the two races, only the Dwarfs possess the wisdom to dispose of the crown safely, and helping them gain possession of it might go some way towards convincing the Dwarfs to return the Phoenix Crown.
    - On one thing alone are the High Elves in agreement: it is their efforts that will determine who claims the Nemesis Crown.
