Information Thread for Potential New Skaven Units

The Skaven as a whole are a cruel, treacherous and highly numerous species that have since spread their loathsome corruption to the farthest corners of the Warhammer World. From deep below the earth, these scavengers have built a vast Empire, whose military power and incomprehensible numbers has the potential to smother the kingdoms of the Old World in a seething tide of violence and anarchy. It is believed by all of Skaven-kind that the world is destined to be theirs, for they consider themselves the Supreme Master Race, undeniably superior in every way to all the other races of the World.

Throtlings = They are named because of Throt the Unclean’s obsessive habit of grafting together unfortunate creatures with warpstone-infused salve when he is between projects. The resulting nightmarish assortment of limbs, mouths and horribly abused minds crawl through the depths of the Hell Pit and are unleashed as cannon fodder in times of war.

Immense arms tipped with hideous pincers protruded from the front of the monster. The beast’s face stretched across the front of its body without even the semblance of a head. The Screaming Bell = Rumour has it that some piece of the great tower of Kavzar is incorporated into each Screaming Bell, be it a chunk of masonry or some small part of the Horned Bell that sits within the tallest tower of the Temple of the Horned Rat. In battle, the omnious tolling of the bell resounds above the clamour of the fighting, a message of death to foes but a declaration of supremacy to all Skaven.

Secretly, Razzlok developed his "thrower of warpstone" at the expense of many of slaves' lives. One day, Skaven scouts reported sighting a small Dwarf party nearing Razzlok's mining operation. This was just the opportunity he needed to gain the Greyseer's favor. Razzlok, a small group of his fellow Clanrats, and his new invention met the Dwarf force. The Dwarfs were not expecting the vermin war machine that stood before them. Many a stunty died that day under the force of raining green stone. The Furnace is pushed into battle by chanting Plague Monks, the creaking of the iron-shob wheels audible above the drone of devotional maledictions. The hides of a thousand beasts form its canopy, protecting the operators from the arrows of the defenders."

The huge boulder will smash any ramparts that it strikes. The Siege Tower = "Hundreds of wagons are required to carry the pre-fabricated timbers that make up the siege tower, and when these are put together the siege tower will be raised higher than any known wall. A drawbridge or spiked corvus is ready on the top of the tower to be dropped on the enemy battlements allowing attackers to swarm across, constantly reinforced by a steam stream of soldiers."

    Special and Named Characters

Here is contained a full list of every possible Legendary Lord or Legendary Hero that I could find for the Skaven, excluding those who are long dead. I have split them into different categories for each Skaven Faction and whether they suit being Lords or Heroes, so it is easier to know which they are best suited to being added to, if someone wished to add them to the game. Without further ado, here we go.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Stormvermin Warlord Darkon = Ruler of Karak Varn, now known as Cragmere. He appears to be in the Warhammer Quest roleplay book, but I’ve not seen that yet. From the scenario, it appears there are goblins and minotaurs in his employ.

Combined with the success of Verminous Fang at Struhelspan, it seems that the convoluted, and possibly conflicting agendas being pursued by the Skaven may yet come to fruition. "

Huskk was said to be a mighty sorcerer versed in the terrifying bone magic of the Accursed One. It was claimed that he had slaughtered his entire clan, taking the name of his clan for his own. This was just the opportunity he needed to gain the Greyseer's favor. Razzlok, a small group of his fellow Clanrats, and his new invention met the Dwarf force. Magical Weapons, Armour, Amulets, Scrolls and Other Items

This section deals in those magical items that can be used by this faction. This is by no means a full list, I doubt I'll ever get that, but it will provide modders with information if they wish to add new magical weapons, armour and items into the game to be used.

    Common Magic Items
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
If you follow the link below you will find dozens of magical items that are commonly found in the Old World (and beyond).
    https://www.twcenter.net/forums/show...1#post15255257

    Magic Weapons
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Assassin Weapons = "During their manufacture a small amount of warpstone is incorporated into their structure, along with certain secret magical spells known only by the Rat-Assassins."
    https://i.imgur.com/EaaSGR0.png White Dwarf 119

Basilisk Blade = ”Even after death the bones of a Basilisk poison the world around them, exuding a foul aura that can putrefy flesh and corrode metal. Weapons fashioned from the rancid bones recovered from Basilisk remains are terrifyingly deadly, but thankfully rare as they are just as deadly to their wielders as they are to their victims.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

Cold Iron Blade = ”Ancient lore claims that only iron weapons shaped without the use of fire can harm the spirits that infest certain regions of the world. Only the strongest of smiths can perform such a feat, hammering the metal into shape with brute strength before such artefacts are enchanted. Though the results are always crudely shaped, their potency against the ephemeral creatures is unquestionable.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The Lash of Itzaotyl = ”Used by the servants of the Old Ones to subdue the massive beasts that stalked the world at the dawn of time, the ancient Last of Itzaotyl ensnares all it touches with an unbreakable tendril of pure magical essence. Since its theft from the Lizardmen, by the daughters of Naggaroth millennia ago, it has known many masters and current whereabouts are unknown.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The Warhammer = From Warhammer Monthly.
    https://i.imgur.com/AKWXhBi.jpg
    https://i.imgur.com/IFEwOuJ.jpg
    https://i.imgur.com/KaXYTri.jpg

Weeping Blade = "This is a vile and poisonous warpstone weapon."

    Talismans
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Faithless Charm = ”The degenerate Ettin hill clans have been known to hang these small craven charms in the dismal northern woods, warding away those who would trespass on the Ettin’s miserable existence. Each is an embodiment of the unholy curse that afflicts the very souls of the Ettin. Those foolish enough to carry one with them for any length of time find their senses sharpened - until they lose control and the curse consumes them too.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

Flea-Ridden = "All rats have fleas, but these fleas are monstrous mutants among their kind, having feasted on the warpstone-corrupted blood of a plague priest."
    https://i.imgur.com/DxUrltX.png White Dwarf 245

The Pinion of the Phoenix = ”These ephemeral feathers, plucked from the burning wings of a manifested phoenix and woven into a talisman, are preserved by the arts of ancient Elf magic. Handed down through generations of High Elf nobility, they are borne into the direst of battles as badges of honour, swiftly burning away to dust once removed from their protective caves. While they last they protect their bearer from harm, and should he fall grant him a fiery reprieve from death.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

The Shard of Morrslieb = ”This necklace bears a shard fallen from the moon of Morrslieb, a baleful talisman that fills the bearer with a deathless vigour.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA

Warpscale Pendant = ”Crafted from the deformed scales of a Warpfire Dragon, these eerily worked talismans are the product not of twisted Skaven ingenuity as some suspect but rather of some unseen agency believed to be connected to the ruling cabals of the Tilean City-states. Ensorcelled to protect the wearer against weapons fuelled by warpstone, many Skaven wizards covet such items as a measure against assassination by their own kind - though the fear Warpfire Dragon’s cause among the warpstone-laden holds of the Skaven keeps them rare.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

    Magical Armour
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Scintillating Shield = ”In the ancient legends of Estalia, retold so many times in their origin is now forgotten, heroes would be gifted with shields which were so highly polished they blinded their foes and deflected the deadly gaze of the Basilisks and Cockatrice that were the scourge of that Land in ancient days. Scintillating Shields, whether they be the items spoken of in legend or more recent creations wrought by wizard-craft, fetch a prince’s ransom when rumours of Basilisk or Cockatrice attack spread.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

Wyrmscale Armour of the Deep = ”A glistening coat of Merwyrm scales, the enchantment on this armour keeps it coated with a shimmering Layer of briny sea water. Not only do the iron-hard scales deflect sword and arrow, but the scales still recall their home in the icy deeps of the ocean and grant their wearer passage through water and foil fiery assaults upon him.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

    Arcane Items
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Battle Stone of Le Marquis = ”Michel d’un Doigt was a Bretonnian wizard famous for the nine enchanted gem stones he created. The Battle Stone is a glimmering red ruby that fills its bearer with vigour and energy.”
    https://i.imgur.com/AGceWtm.png White Dwarf Issue 194

Bufo’s Hex Scroll = ”This scroll may be used to cancel out the spell of an enemy wizard and turn him into a toad.”
    https://i.imgur.com/XIAKWjB.png White Dwarf Issue 194

Hand of Vecteek = ”Thanquol found the Grey Seer in an ancient derelict warren holding an ancient artifact, the Hand of Vecteek. Knowing the powers held within the artifact, Thanquol wrestled Skraekual for control of the Hand. With his rival dead, Thanquol claimed the hand and headed back to Bonestash in triumph, never noticing a mummified Skaven at the corner of the room, showing an expression of vengeful amusement.” Turns out its been altered to summon Skabrand the Bloodthirster
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Thanquol

Lifestone of Ashraaz = ”The Lifestone of Ashraaz is a jet black gem that is worn round the neck of its bearer. When invoked, a beam of light shoots out of the stone and bathes the bearer and his opponent in a pool of yellow light. When the light fades the bearer’s wounds have been magically transferred to his enemy.”
    https://i.imgur.com/O9IGyJF.png White Dwarf Issue 194

Power Stone of Le Marquis = ”Michel d’un Doigt was a powerful Bretonnian wizard who laboured long and hard to create a series of enchanted gem stones for use by the chivalric knights of that realm.”
    https://i.imgur.com/AGceWtm.png White Dwarf Issue 194

Skavenbrew = "Used before the battle, the effects last the entire battle. It can cause the user to hate the enemy, be subject to frenzy or move at double speed with double attack value."
    https://www.scribd.com/document/2232...del-Journal-31 Page 48

The Mystic Shield of Brag = ”This scroll of parchment contains a powerful anti-magic enchantment that may be used by a wizard to block the spell of an enemy spellcaster.”
    https://i.imgur.com/XIAKWjB.png White Dwarf Issue 194

    Enchanted Items
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Potions of the Skaven = "These potions are manufactured using warpstone and their effects are quite unpredictable: some steel the drinker to the most fearsome danger or instil him with a killing fury, others drive the drinker into a frenzy of activity so strenuous that he eventually drops dead from exhaustion."
    https://i.imgur.com/EaaSGR0.png White Dwarf 119

Warpscroll = "Warpscrolls are powerful magical items inscribed upon the hide of living creatures using a special ink manufactured from warpstone. The ink causes intense agony and eventual death, but to be fully effective the hide must be flayed from the creature while it is still alive, and then cursed using finely ground warpstone powder. Victims of the scroll suffer rapid and irreversible ageing and shrivel and die in the space of a few seconds."
    https://i.imgur.com/MVgKvXv.png White Dwarf 119

Warpstone Amulet = "Furblak uses the Warpstone Amulet to guide him to the warpstone below the mountain."
    https://www.scribd.com/document/2232...del-Journal-31 Page 48

Warpstone Charm = "They are tokens of luck, and may offer protection from magic. Charms of this kind are used by the most important of the Skaven. They take the form of irregularly-shaped pieces of coloured stone, jewels or chunks of crude metal, all incorporating or exposed to the effects of warpstone."
    https://i.imgur.com/IwuuTIE.png White Dwarf 119

    Magic Standards
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Sacrificial Banner = ”Covered with arcane patterns daubed in blood and draped in ornate sigils and charms the Sacrificial Banner looks impressive, but its real purpose is rarely explained to those troops ‘honoured’ with its care. It is enchanted with the sole purpose of enraging and attracting the ire of the gigantic monsters that prowl the Warhammer world, so that a canny general can dictate the movement of his enemy’s most powerful ally.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...V96TFBvQ1dNZGc Monstrous Arcanum

    Poisons
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Black Lotus = "In the deepest forests of the Southlands grows a plant which is extremely poisonous. It is known as the Black Lotus, and it is much sought-after by alchemists, assassins and bored housewives."
    https://i.imgur.com/EzPRfhJ.png White Dwarf 227

Dark Venom = "Dark Venom is poison extracted from Helldrakes, gigantic sea serpents that plague the Western Ocean. Even a slight wound infected by Dark Venom causes excruciating pain, incapacitating men who would otherwise ignore such scratches."
    https://i.imgur.com/EzPRfhJ.png White Dwarf 227

Green Scorpion Venom = A particularly nasty venom available from shady Araby dealers is scorpion venom. Normally, this toxin is taken from stung mice, rats, or other small animals, which are then dried and ground into powder. From this mess, the poison can be sprinkled in food and drink or mixed with oil to apply to a blade.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...Scorpion_Venom

Viper’s Kiss = ”Another poison from animals, the black stripe vipers of Araby are some of the most poisonous snakes in the Old World. Only the most skilled animal handlers can extract poison from these creatures, and even then there is a high mortality rate. Drawn straight from the fangs of a black stripe viper, this vile liquid burns to the touch, and its fumes sting the eyes. The poison is applied to a weapon.”
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Viper%27s_Kiss

Wormstone = ”After surviving another assassination attempt by what seemed to be Clan Moulder wolf-rats, Thanquol has gathered information from his experiments that the Wormstone weapon is indeed deadly towards Skavens and other Chaos saturated creature, but has proven to be deadly towards Humans also, but at a much slower rate.”
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Thanquol

    Diseases

    Kadon’s Scrolls of Binding
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
When a storm of magic breaks, it isn’t merely battlefield sorcery that increases in power. All manner of spells and items dormant for decades suddenly crackle into vibrant life, eager to have their power unleashed on an unsuspecting world. Chief among these are Kadon’s Scrolls of Binding; each scroll was crafted with a particular beast in mind. These came from the Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum, in the chart in that book it listed each monster for each faction as either Abhorrent, Binding Scroll or Kinship, these monsters here are all but those that are Abhorrent to this faction. The Scrolls of Binding that may be used vary from race to race, the following are those that may be used by this faction:

    Binding Scrolls

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Ancient Stegadon = Ancient Stegadons are amongst the largest and most ferocious of their entire race. The eldest Stegadons have grown yet thicker hides, larger horns and tower above even their own pack. Over the ages, some of their fiery temper has cooled and, as they often outlive their Skink crews, they gradually become more accepting of new handlers.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ancient_Stegadon

Arachnarok Spider = Those Man-sized victims are often wrapped into web-casings within the spider's lair, where they would begin to dissolve within a matter of hours by the highly corrosive spider venom, until the victim turns into a protein-rich puddle from which these Spiders can easily drink from. Despite its immense bulk, Arachnarok Spiders are relatively efficient solitary hunters, able to move silently through dense wilderness and ensnare their unsuspecting prey with webs as thick as an Orcs muscular arm.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...chnarok_Spider

Basilisk = The most potent weapon in the Basilisk’s arsenal is their deadly gaze. Renowned in folklore across the Old World for its lethal nature, the Basilisks’ sickly pale eyes are able to focus the destructive potential of their poisonous soul, withering their prey until its skin and flesh slough away.
    https://www.fichier-pdf.fr/2012/11/0...eview/page/43/

Bastiladon = Bastiladon, sometimes known as Living Bastions, are a mighty and hulking species of armored reptiles whose heavily armoured shell is perhaps one of the strongest within the continent of Lustria. It is a walking fortress, a living bastion covered in a rock-hard bony skin, and then further protected by massive iron-like plates — a natural armour so dense that it can, sometimes, thwart the bite of the mighty Carnosaur.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Bastiladon

Black Dragon = Black Dragons are relatively similar to their more pure-blooded cousins in appearance, however they have lost the ability to belch flaming breath, and instead gained the ability to breathe a noxious gas that can wither the lungs of its victims and rot their flesh.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Dragon

Young Black Dragon = Younger, less powerful black dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Forest_Dragon

Great Black Dragon = Greater, and larger black dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Dragon

Emperor Black Dragon = The greatest, most powerful black Dragons that are capable of casting spells.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Dragon

Bloodwrack Medusae = A Bloodwrack Medusa's gaze is a fearsome weapon; should a victim's eyes lock with hers for even a second, his lifeblood violently rebels, flooding from every pore until his body collapses into a pool of its own gore. It is to guard against this that the shrinekeepers -- priestesses so beguiled by their goddess that the act of worship has become their chief pleasure -- wear masks polished to a mirror-like sheen.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...dwrack_Medusae

Bonegrinder Giant = Gargants whose sheer size, stupidity and propensity for drunken, ill-tempered violence makes others of their kind seem positively mundane by comparison, Bonegrinder Giants are walking catastrophes capable of levelling an entire town without breaking a sweat—assuming they can stay on their feet long enough.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Warhammer-Giant

Carmine Dragon = Carmine, or Encarmine Dragons, are a corrupted variant of the Dragon race known famously for its dark crimson colour as a result of an over-exposure to "Death Magic". Contrary to popular belief, Carmine Dragons are actually not a separate sub-species of Dragons, rather these Dragons are born this way when a Dragon egg has become saturated by Shyish, the Wind of Death. When the unborn dragon is exposed to this, the death magic is gathered and magnified within the heart and soul of the dragon once it is born.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Carmine_Dragon

Emperor Carmine Dragon = Same as above but far more powerful and can cast spells.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Carmine_Dragon

Carnosaur = Carnosaurs are large apex predators that have terrorised the darkness of the primordial jungles since the dawn of this world's existence. Considered by many as the ultimate jungle hunter, with some growing nearly two stories tall, these massive reptilian beasts are powerfully built and highly aggressive creatures, with long, muscular hind limbs and a heavy tail that is used to balance its enlarged and powerful skull.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Carnosaur

Cave Spiders = Warped by chaos, these horrors have bloated to twice the size of Giant Spiders and are often barely able to squeeze themselves through passages. Their massive grey bodies almost blend into the cavern walls making them difficult to see and they move quickly using their powerful legs, in spite of their size. Monstrous Arcanum lists spiders as a 'Kinship' monster to the Beastmen.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Cave_Spider

Chaos Dragon = A Chaos Dragon dimly resembles its uncorrupted kin. It has a massive bloated body that splits into two long trunk-like necks that end in heads of horns and fangs. One head smokes with the fires that burn in its gullet, whilst the other sends plumes of acidic gasses into the air to scorch the land. Thick scales cover the body in places, but in others, its organs and muscles are revealed, pumping the corruption through a system of exposed veins and arteries. Its fiery heart beats within, sending showers of sparks onto the ground as it passes.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Dragon
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Young Chaos Dragon = A younger, less experienced and less powerful Chaos Dragon.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Dragon
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Great Chaos Dragon = An older, more experienced and more powerful Chaos Dragon.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Dragon
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Emperor Chaos Dragon = An incredibly powerful Chaos Dragon that is huge, and is able to cast devastating spells.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Dragon
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Chaos Giant = Chaos Giants are twisted, monstrous humanoids that have divulge from the rest of the Giant race and became warped into a creature that possess a greater prodigious appetite for violence.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Giant

Chaos Spawn = Once the first mutation takes hold, the creature that was once now faces the inevitable dissolution of his mind and will, becoming something less than yet more than mortal. The fate that awaits nearly all surviving mutants is to become a Chaos Spawn, a gibbering abomination existing only to serve the whims of its infernal masters.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Spawn

Chaos Spawn (Khorne) = A spawn dedicated to Khorne.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Spawn

Chaos Spawn (Nurgle) = A spawn dedicated to Nurgle.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Spawn

Chaos Spawn (Slaanesh) = A spawn dedicated to Slaanesh
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Spawn

Chaos Spawn (Tzeentch) = A spawn dedicated to Tzeentch.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Spawn

Chaos Trolls = They are malformed monsters whose lack of intelligence is as legendary as their great strength, as well as their unthinking ferocity and indiscriminate appetites. All Trolls have been affected by Chaos to some extent, as their species is the result of thousands of years of warping influence from the corrupting power of the north. Those that are sometimes seen accompanying warbands of Beastmen, however, have been altered by the power of Chaos more directly
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Troll

Chaos Warhounds = Drawn to the lure of fresh meat, Warhounds often prowl around encampments searching for lone or vulnerable creatures to attack. These slinking predators have an innate connection with the Beastmen of the forests, and freely wander through the filthy and bonestrewn encampments that serve as lairs for each warherd.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chaos_Warhounds

Chaos War Mammoth = These massive creatures, whose footfalls shake the earth like thunder, are capable through sheer bulk and roused fury of demolishing buildings, trampling forests flat and crushing anything smaller than themselves into an unrecognisable, bloody smear. Although not actually evil as such, they are entirely belligerent and uncaring beasts that cut a swathe of destruction wherever they go, a factor magnified a thousand-fold by the fact that when they have young they travel in communal family herds, are fiercely territorial and respond to any other creature that manages to gather their notice by smashing it into the ground, or if it is a large enough monster in its own right, impaling it with huge tusks the size of mighty tree trunks.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...s_War_Mammoths

Chimaera = The three-headed Chimerae is one of the most fearsome of all Children of Chaos, a beast whose progenitors were so warped that it is now impossible to say what manner of creatures they might once have been. Chimerae are more susceptible than most monsters to the twisting power of Chaos. The heads of some breathe fire in the manner of Dragons, whilst other heads sprout razor-sharp fangs or jaws that drip with a poisonous slime.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Chimerae

Cockatrice = The Cockatrice is a repulsive Chaos-influenced beast with sorcerous capabilities. While this curious creature has very fast reactions and a great number of claws, it is not very strong, martially skilled or even particularly resistant to damage. However, the sorcerous capabilities of this monster allow it simply turn the assailants into stone with a simple stare. Enemies should not ever look it in the eye if they hope to emerge victorious. Even if they manage to wound the agile beast, it is likely that it will simply fly away, prefering to live long then die hard. According to Monstrous Arcanum it has 'kinship' with the Beastmen.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum
    http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Cockatrice

Cold Ones = They are large and scaly reptilian beasts with sharp teeth and large claws. Lustrian Cold Ones hunt in the tropical jungles, while Cold Ones in Naggaroth prefer the damp warmth of caves to the cold weather outside. Cold Ones may be solitary, or they may hunt in packs. They are aggressive and have a liking of horseflesh, normal horses are terrified by them.*They are remarkably long lived and notoriously stupid. The oldest Cold One known to the Dark Elves, dubbed Kintearer, lived 1732 years after being brought into captivity.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Cold_Ones

Corpse Giant (Necrofex Colossus) = A gigantic construction of wood, metal, bone, meat, skin, souls, all sorts of evil necromatic stuff. Sometimes a vampire will bind their own soul into it.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Nightmare Colossus (Necrofex Colossus) = An even bigger version of it.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Necrofex Colossus = The largest, most dangerous version of the Necrofex Colossus.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Culchan = Huge, flightless, carnivorous birds that live on the grasslands of Lustria. Prized by pygmies, I’d imagine these as a flock of them.
    https://www.scribd.com/document/1170...attle-Bestiary

Curs’d Ettin = They are fell creatures renowned in the dreaded sagas of the norse. Even in that barbarous, warp-touched land, few are as feared or reviled as they. Twin-headed abominations born of Chaos, they are the terror of the high moorlands and mountains of the North, dwelling in lonely caverns and the once-proud ruins of Citadels. Hulking and twisted creatures, they greatly resemble the more commonplace Giants in size and strength, as well as in hunger for flesh and blood. Yet they are also easily distinguished from those already brutal creatures by their horrific deformities and cruel intellects.

Curs'd Ettin Gibberers = One of the Curs'd Ettin's heads has degenerated into infantile imbecility, drooling and wailing constantly, making enemies lose leadership around them.

Curs'd Ettin Scaled Horrors = Amongst the Curs'd Ettin clans living close to the Chaos Wastes, some are born with scabrous scales, while their blood is rancid and poisonous to any it touches.

    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Curs'd Ettin Rune-Callers = Some Ettins are capable spell-casters, recalling dimly the tribal magic they once wielded as men. These Ettins are branded with magical runes that burn with unholy power, allowing them to call upon the various Lores of Magic, such as those of Shadow and Death. Though their power cannot hope to approach that of a true Sorcerer, the combination of adept magical knowledge and brute strength makes the Ettin even more dangerous. Such savage magicians are known as Rune-Callers.

Cygor = Assailed by such visions since birth, Cygors are all quite mad. Thus, a Cygor will blunder indiscriminately through the material world, unable to catch the prey it so insatiably wants to devour. They hunger constantly, for they can scarcely perceive the prey other Minotaurs might hunt down and devour.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Cygor

Dark Emissary = A Dark Emissary is a former Truthsayer, a sorcerer from the isle of Albion, that uses a specific strand of Chaos Magic, granted to them by their lord and master, the Daemon Prince Be’lakor. They can raise Fenbeasts.

Demigryph = At the heart of this great Forest lurks many foul and ancient beast of many ages past. But none are so noble and majestic in their heritage as the prides of Demigryphs who ruthlessly claim this patch of territory as their own.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Demigryph_Knight

Doppelgangers = Doppelgangers take on the forms of others, then kill and eat those whose appearance they have stolen, replacing them completely. The brain is said to be their favourite morsel. Doppelgangers infiltrate positions they can use to further their dark and inscrutable agendas, and prefer to take the forms of the highest members of society.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Doppelganger

Dracholeech = The creatures are serpentine in form, between twenty and thirty feet long and about four feet across. Their skin is rubbery, slimy, and rotten, and there are no bones within. For mouths, they have circles of teeth, constantly pulsing, that can swallow a child or halfling in one gulp. Their preferred mode of attack is to come up under a boat, tipping any passengers and crew into the water where they can be chewed at leisure. They can also jump onto a small boat, smashing it, but they cannot stay out of the water for long.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dracoleech

Dragon Ogres = Aeons ago, the elders of their race made a pact with the Ruinous Powers, embracing damnation in order to save themselves from a slow decline into extinction. They were given eternal life, and in return, the entire Dragon Ogre race put themselves at the command of the Dark Gods. According to Monstrous Arcanum it has 'kinship' with the Beastmen.

Dragon Ogre Shaggoths = Dragon Ogre Shaggoths are living legends of carnage and devastation. As a Dragon Ogre ages, it becomes ever larger, growing stronger and more powerful. As long as it can find lightning to refresh its body and revitalise its mind, there is no limit to the size one can reach. According to Monstrous Arcanum it has 'kinship' with the Beastmen.

Dread Maw = With their circular mouths, studded with rows of sickle-shaped teeth, Dread Maws can seize and devour a fully armoured man in seconds. Often, smaller prey is swallowed whole, but even the largest creatures will fall foul of the Dread Maw's ravenous appetite. Bursting forth from beneath the ground and latching on with their hooked teeth, they can tear their way inside the greatest of beasts, eviscerating them from within and quickly hollowing out their ruptured carcass.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-IE/Dread-Maw

Dread Saurian = Dread Saurian Of all the reptillian nightmares that inhabit the jungle-shrouded continent of Lustria, Dread Saurians are one of the most feared; an echo of ancient days when huge beasts such as they did battle with the forefathers of dragons for supremacy. Immense creatures, larger than the towering Carnosaur, Dread Saurians are few in number and sacred to the Lizardmen, and the fury of each that prowls the fetid jungles is moderated only by the arcane power of the ceremonial armour that bedecks them.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Dread-Saurian

Fenbeast = Fenbeasts are large sorcerous constructs assembled from material gathered from marshes and swamps where many have died in battle. They are unnatural creatures that reek of stagnant marshes and have the touch of the grave about them. The presence of a Fenbeast often indicates the presence of a necromancer or other kind of spell caster, often one with grim intentions. Fenbeasts, being all but devoid of will, are not imaginative opponents, but this can change with a skilled handler.

Fimir Noble = As with other Fimir warriors, Fimirach Nobles are armoured with plates of spell-forged bronze fitted to their hunchbacked bodies and wield Baleglyph weapons in combat, either in the shape of great double-handed mauls, or single-handed maces and curving hatchets, held one in each hand.

Fimir Warriors = Fimir are loathsome, one-eyed reptilian creatures, infamously degenerate and malign and possessed of dark powers. Fimir Warriors are armoured with plates of spell-forged bronze fitted to their hunchbacked bodies and wield Baleglyph weapons in combat, either in the shape of great double-handed mauls, or single-handed maces and curving hatchets, held one in each hand. Focus Familiars = An impish familiar accompanying the Sorceress, through which she can direct her powers. This allows her to target enemies further away and out of sight.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Focus_Familiar

Forest Dragon = Despite their monstrous appearance, Forest Dragons are actually highly intelligent, and maintain a keen interest in events that occur far beyond the boundaries of Athel Loren. They are particularly voracious for tidings that relate to their long months of slumber. In part, this hunger is fed by the Elves who petition them for aid, but the Dragons do not necessarily consider the Elves to be wholly unbiased observers and often seek out others to provide counterpoint.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Forest_Dragon

Young Forest Dragon = Younger, less powerful forest dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Forest_Dragon

Great Forest Dragon = Greater, and larger forest dragons.

Emperor Forest Dragon = The greatest, most powerful Forest Dragons that are capable of casting spells.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Forest_Dragon

Ghorgon = Ghorgons are huge, four-armed, ox-headed variant of the Minotaur race that have evolved into their current state from the extreme overconsumption of tainted flesh, which triggered rapid growth and extreme amounts of physical mutation.

    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ghorgon

Giant = Once a Giant has cleaned up all the available food within a region, Giants would move on to find more fertile and unspoiled lands, often leaving behind the bones and husk of many ruined villages in his wake.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Giant

Giant Spiders = The same ones the forest goblins ride.

Giant Spined Chaos Beast = Big-ass chaos spawn? Or a Beast of Nurgle?

    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/resourc...-nurgle-en.pdf

Griffon = For anyone to have the slightest hope of mastering a Griffon, the beast must be captured and trained while young, forcing a bond that only death can shatter.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Griffons

Harpies = Harpies are vicious and spiteful, displaying only the meaning glimmerings of intelligence and, even then, only malicious, purpose. Innately cowardly creatures, Harpies band together in great sky-borne flocks, which roam high above the mountainsides and valleys in search of prey defenceless enough to risk attacking.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Harpies

Hippogryph = The Hippogryph species inhabit the upper reaches of the Grey Mountains, occasionally prowling the green lands below for prey such as sheep and cattle, although they have also been known to hunt Humans, Greenskins or just about any creature than cannot quickly hide from its vision.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Hippogryph

Horned Ones = There exists in the deepest jungles a rare breed of Cold One referred to as*Horned Ones. These beasts breed within dank caverns, emerging into the rainforests to hunt. They are startlingly aggressive and extremely territorial, so much so that they will take on any other beasts they perceive as a threat, no matter its size.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Cold_Ones

Hydra = The Hydra is a titanic beast of the mountains, whose ill-tempered and ravenous nature has proven the doom of many an unsuspecting morsel. Indeed, so ferocious is the Hydra that campaigning armies often make wide detours to avoid intruding on such a beast's bone-strewn lair. Those that march on regardless do so either out of confidence in their battle-prowess or ignorance of the Hydra's savagery.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/War_Hydras

Jabberslythe = The beating of the Beastmen’s war drums often serves to draw Jabberslythes from their lairs, for they know that there will be rich pickings indeed at such times. The sounds of braying, shouting or even of celebration can be enough to bring a Jabberslythe lolloping and flapping from its lair, and they are always hungry.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Jabberslythe

Jaguars = The Lustrian Jaguar is a large animal, larger than any living big-cat from our world. They cannot be ridden, but if captured young and carefully hand-reared they can be kept as pets, guards or animals of war.
    https://www.scribd.com/document/1170...attle-Bestiary

Kharibdyss = The Kharibdyss' digestive juices are ferociously efficient, and can dissolve flesh, metal and bone in a matter of minutes. The gemstones, however, are curiously resistant to the attentions of the monster's gullet. Indeed, the belly of a slain Kharibdyss is often something of a treasure trove, full of whatever magical possessions adorned its victims at the moment of digestion.
    [U]http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Kharibdyss[U]

Lammasu = The Lammasu has the body of a gigantic bull, a powerful mace-tipped tail and a massive, ugly head. The Chaos Dwarfs believe that the Lammasu is a rare mutation of the Great Taurus, a creature whose forbears were once Chaos Dwarfs, but which has become twisted by the powers of Chaos into a huge bull-shaped monster.

Land Wyvern = When the Orcs moved into the tunnels, they brought with them a rare breed of Wyverns—one slightly smaller and meaner than others of its kind but without wings. These are generally solitary creatures unless they’ve been tamed by the Orcs, and appear quite similar to normal Wyverns, complete with a poisonous tail. Land Wyverns are famously stupid and one will fling itself into combat without concern for numbers or the threat to its own life.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Land_Wyvern

Lava Trolls = These are mentioned in this wiki page, but also in a list in the one below. The problem is, the second link says that there are rules for these, but I wasn’t able to find it anywhere. If anyone finds them, could they help.

    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Manticore

Merwyrm = The mages of Lothern are able to summon forth and bind the beasts of the deep, imposing their will upon the creatures’ primitive minds. The Merwyrm is a rare example of such a beast that is capable of fighting on land, and this distant relation (some would say ancestor) of the dragons of Caledor is a truly deadly and terrifying foe. This is from the Storm of Chaos Lothern Sea Patrol Army List, so should be limited to that faction.
    https://www.scribd.com/doc/175292173/Wfb-Storm-of-Chaos

Mournfang = Aggressive predators that stalk the icy slopes, Mournfang packs are led by the largest of their kind and, working together, they can hunt and kill anything that lives in that harsh domain. Mournfangs have a notorious tenacity that makes even the most powerful of creatures think twice about confronting them. Ogres' tales tell of defiant Mournfangs blocking cave entrances or refusing to give ground and every tribe has a story about a beast continuing to fight long after drawing its last breath.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...rnfang_Cavalry

Mourngul = Dreadful tales are told around huddled fires of those lost in the killing cold of a mountain winter, driven by famine and pain to hunt their own companions and former friends for their meat and the warmth of their blood. There is no salvation for these damned souls, for the horrors in which they indulge cannot save them and they become things neither dead nor alive, condemned to an eternity of empty hunger and terrible isolation.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Mourngul

Pagowyrm = Other rare sub-breeds are known to exist, such as the Pagowyrm which dwells in the frigid seas of Naggaroth.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Plague Toads of Nurgle = Plague Toads are mutated, pseudo-amphibian sacs of brackish filth and pus whose wide maws can swallow a man whole. Plague Toads are drawn to places of disease and decay, and in such places those versed in the lore of the Plague Father can summon these daemon-vermin and bind them to their will.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/D...oads-of-Nurgle

Power Familiars = A Power Familiar is a familiar that attracts magic power to its owner, who cannot be one of the Blood Dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Familiar

Preytons = They are a savage and hateful breed of creature that haunts the forested lands of Bretonnia. So renowned is their ferocity that sighting of Preytons will draw knights from many miles around, seeking to prove their valor by slaying the beasts. Mighty and winged creatures of Chaos, hybrid in form like the Chimera, Preytons bear upon their vaguely equine heads a pair of blackened and serrated antlers which have caused foolhardy knights to mistake them for majestic Great Stags, much to their error.

Preytons (Filth Encrusted Scales) = A Preyton with scaly skin save.

    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Razorgor Herd = As with all children of Chaos, Razorgor are disfigured by hideous mutations, but they generally have the aspect of a nightmarish, gigantic boar covered in vicious spines, coarse hair and boasting lethally sharp tusks and fangs.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Razorgors

Rhinox = Like a horned mountain with legs, the Rhinox is a foul-tempered, enormous beast that can wreak havoc when roused. Being so large, they are understandably strong and resilient, with the coat of fur thick enough to deflect blows. A charging Rhinox rumbles like thunder, and its hooves churn the earth like an earthquake. It takes a brave man to stand against the charge of Rhinox cavalry.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Rhinoxen

Ripperdactyls = Ripperdactyls are a unique and terrifyingly dangerous species of flying reptiles whose sheer aggression puts it in a class above even the fearsome Terradons that haunt the skies above Lustria. To such a vicious creature, Skinks are little more than a meal to be snatched up, snipped in two by a razor-sharp beak and then gulped down.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Ripperdactyl

River Trolls = Are Trolls that, as their name suggests, live in shallow waters such as rivers or marshes. They usually pray on fish, yet there have been numerous reports of fishermen gone missing. These Trolls are foul, their rancid smell noticeable from afar. These Trolls are rightly feared for their ability to vomit acid onto their victims.

Rogue Idol of Gork= When greenskin tribes gather for war, foetid effigies depicting the Orc gods Gork and Mork will be constructed. Using rock, dung, old battle trophies and other detritus, these ‘statues’ are intended to bring the favour of Gork to the Orcs and Goblins mustering in their shadow. Some are no more than a heap of stones or no larger than a chapel door, but when a Waaagh! is brewing they can grow to immense proportions, and become so infused with the greenskins’ lust for battle that they are roused into life and will lumber forth to crush and bludgeon the enemy.

    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Sabretusk

Sciowyrm = Other rare sub-breeds are known to exist, such as the Sciowyrm found only in the deepest ocean trenches. They are masters of the primordial darkness that surrounds them in the depths.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Shard Dragon = Shard Dragons are not ‘true dragons’ as such, but the devolved remains of some draconic offshoot that migrated into the dark heart of the world. Untold centuries in lightless umbra have filled them with malign power and distorted their forms, some now venomous enough that they burn the very rock beneath them, while others are able to exhale to vaporous essence of terror to slay their prey. It was the Dwarfs that first returned these creatures to the light of the sun, having learned to bind Shard Dragons with powerful runic collars and turning them upon their foes to rend and tear.

Stegadon = Stegadons are mighty beasts that have dwelt within the primeval jungles since long before the coming of the Old Ones. They are bulky creatures whose heads are covered by armoured crests, out of which project massive horns. With bony scales and spikes shielding their bodies, there are few predators that dare challenge them.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Stegadon

    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Stonehorn

    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Troll

Terradons = Terradons dwell in high crags and atop the jungle canopy, hundreds of metres above the ground. Their keen eyesight can pierce the gloom of the jungle, enabling them to spot potential prey at great distances. They will attack anything man-sized or smaller, and are known to swoop down and snatch their victims before finding a perch where they can leisurely pull their prey apart and feed. Their huge, leathery wings can propel them at great velocity, and they are surprisingly agile, able to fly at full speed through the thick jungle, avoiding branches, vines and trees with relative ease.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Terradon

Thundertusk = Their hulking mass exudes an aura, a subzero blast of arctic air so cold it congeals blood and freezes their prey. Thundertusks advance as relentlessly as a winter storm, using their numbing airs to slow their victims down, allowing the beasts to bring their cumbersome but crushing mass to bear.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Thundertusk

Troglodon = Lone cave-dwellers, Troglodons haunt subterranean grottos, emerging only to feed. These creatures are virtually blind, but hunt using senses other than sight. Swaying sinuously, the Troglodon uses its quill-like whiskers to track motion, while its forked tongue tastes the air.

Veteran War Hydras ‘The Claws of Khaine’ = If a War Hydra survives and remains with the same Beastmasters for long enough, they can become a truly fierce fighting team. Hydras are intelligent enough to learn from each battle, and a good beast master can refine their abilities with rewards and lashings. For notable battlefield successes, generals may reward their beast masters with minor incantations to augment their Hydra’s already impressive battlefield prowess. Recognisable on the battlefield by the number of adornments and tropics, experienced Hydras are a terrifying and unpredictable foe. Has a random ability; Fetch (The Hydra will nominate a hero/lord and endeavour to bring it’s corpse back to its owner), Escort (Bodyguards a unit), Battle Lover (Impetuous, always charges off to the enemy), Chameleon Skinned (can hide itself), and Bloodthirsty (aggressive).
Found in White Dwarf Issue 260

These creatures have been known to be oppurtunistic hunters, able to eat just about anything from rotting carcasses to bloated bodies amongst other filthy habits, making the Wyvern one of the most foul-smelling creatures to ever plague the World's Edge Mountains.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Young Wyvern = A young, less experienced and powerful Wyvern.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Great Wyvern = An old, highly experienced and deadly Wyvern.

Yhetees = The Yhetee packs inhabit the highest slopes of many mountain ranges, but are particularly common amongst the Mountains of Mourn and, the place of their birth - the towering peaks of the Ancient Giant Holds. There, high on the roof of the world, the Yhetees survive by preying on the beast herds of the highlands. The pale pelts of the Yhetees make them hard to spot in the snowy landscape, and only when their shaggy hair is overly matted and blood-speckled are they easy to pick out.

Brood Horror = When the beastmasters of Clan Moulder spawn a pack of Giant Pox Rats, there is occasionally one among them who will brutally devour the rest of the brood, growing fat and bloated.

Dragon = There are many different variants of the dragon species.

Young Dragon = Young dragons aren’t as powerful as older dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon

Great Dragon = These are a lot more experienced and powerful than your standard dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon

Emperor Dragon = Indeed, the only recorded occasions on which Emperor Dragons have seen defeat have been when many thousands of foes have been arrayed against them, or some sorcerous trickery was employed. If few warriors can be counted on to defeat an Emperor Dragon, there are still fewer individuals capable of taming one. Even the famed Dragon Riders of Caledor were never able to tame the oldest and greatest of the Emperor Dragons.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Emperor_Dragon

Exalted Vermin Lord = The Vermin Lords are the arch-daemons of the Skaven god the Horned Rat, and embody all that is foul and cruel in that misbegotten race of rat men. At once mighty and vile, cunning and savage, they are creatures of creeping decay and lightning fast fury — they are ruin made manifest.
    Warhammer Supplement: Monstrous Arcanum

Warp Bats = Warp Bats are similar in appearance to normal bats, although their fur is pale and their bodies are bloated, distorted by constant exposure to Warpstone. Due to their increased size, which can occasionally rival that of a horse, Warp Bats are unable to fly. Instead they move by crawling quickly across the ground and walls of their underground domain.

Warp Slime = Warpslime is a living, partially aware, and entirely unnatural creature that is born as a result of extensive Warpstone experimentation in a contained environment.
    http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Warpslime

Wolf Rats = Wolf Rats are distinctive creatures, blending the appearance of both Skaven and Wolves. Covered in a thick pelt of grey fur flecked with white, they have shorter legs than their Skaven ancestors, keeping them low to the ground and suggesting that they are always ready to pounce. Their natural gait is to move on four legs, which only makes their ability to clumsily grasp and manipulate objects with their forepaws that much more horrifying.

Wolf Rats (Pox Feeders) = Due to a diet of diseased flesh, these have poison attacks.

Wolf Rats (Warpstone Shard Teeth) = These have warpstone for teeth, making them have armour piercing damage.

Blade of Last Resort = ”This sword has ever had a twisted sense of humour, seeking out overmatched heroes and aiding them against a chosen foe. Dodecahedron of Continental Drift = ”Said to have been left behind by the Old Ones, this peculiar object can be used to remake the world. Each alteration to the Dodecahedron’s external matrix is reflected on the land around the user. Its ill-considered use can easily prove catastrophic…”

Fozzrik’s Floating Fortress = ”Though Fozzrik’s magical aptitude led him to become a wizard, he never lost his love for architecture. Many of the Old World’s cities have been built around immaculate structures that Fozzrik created from stone and sorcery, but more prized by far are his floating fortresses - buildings that move under their own power and sprout defences to repel intruders.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Woodwaker’s Wand = ”Once upon a time, all the woods in the world were linked. Some say this great forest was alive, in a curious sort of way, and that every tree that now grows retains a portion of its vigour and intelligence just waiting to be revived.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Living Deadwood Staff = ”Arboreonecromancy is a little-practiced branch of wizardry - any mystic crazed enough to attempt it normally transfers his attentions back to raising zombies and skeletons, rather than undead trees. However, legends tell of the Archmage Sycamo, ‘The Daemon Carpenter of Estalia’, who not only perfected a method of reanimating trees from their residual elements, but also filling them with astounding vigour. Much of Sycamo’s work has, fortunately, been lost to the intervening aeons, but the Living Deadwood Staff never stays missing for long…”

Giantkin Helm = ”After constantly being told ‘We expect big things from you’ by his Elector Count father, Heinrich von Roth spent much of the family fortune commissioning an artefact that would help him achieve greatness. Alas, he was to learn that when dealing with wizards, precision of diction is just as important as largesse of payment.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Windcatcher Prism = ”This peculiar bauble was crafted long ago, its purpose very much tied to storms of magic. Once a particular Wind of Magic rises to a certain cataclysmic level, the Windcatcher Prism absorbs and rechannels a portion of its power, bestowing the bearer - and his immediate allies - with an avataric aspect of the ascendant Wind of Magic.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Paranoth’s Piquet Fence = ”Paranoth was a famous travelling mage, who trod every road ‘twixt Cathay and Naggarond. Naturally, only a particularly foolish wizard would journey such roads without defences, so Paranoth wove himself a sorcerous fence to defend his encampments whilst he and his companions slept.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Rockcharmer’s Flute = ”Androgast Gildheim was the first man in the Empire to master this granite flute, but its origins lie hidden in the mists of time. Some say that the Rockcharmer’s Flute was used to destroy the old Dwarfen realms, others that it sank the fabled realm of Seidon. However, the most popular tale concerns a drunken Halfling, the Rockcharmer’s Flute, a jug of lamp oil, a plate of sausages and the accidental creation of the Grey Mountains.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Wyssan’s Weighted Dice = ”This set of weighted dice is one amongst many forged by Arctovian Wyssan over the course of a long and (unsurprisingly) successful wagering career. At the bearer’s command, these skull-marked cubes play havoc with the laws of causality; turning certainty into bleak misfortune.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Arabyan Puzzlebox = ”This elegantly crafted container houses many hundreds of glittering gemstones, each with the power to harness the Winds of Magic if used in the correct manner. Alas, the user can never truly be sure that the compartment he has opened will contain the gems he needed.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Black Book of Ibn Naggazar = ”Ibn Naggazar was a brilliant, if somewhat maniacal, Arabyan sorcerer. Whilst it is unknown whether his madness sprang from isolation, too many attempts at creating intoxicating ‘elixirs’ or the honeyed promises of whispering Daemons, there can be no doubt that he was utterly insane. No rational wizard would create a book inked on the skin of his closest family, much less constantly follow its advice.”
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...WhndVE0VklZZDA Storm of Magic

Silverstone Axe = ”In the ancient barrows that dot the Empire, huge enchanted axes forged of gromril, known to ancient men as Silverstone, have been found. Inert until the storms of magic howl, these axes are so heavy that only the strongest warriors can lift them and then impact shakes the ground, knocking armoured warriors from their feet while against wizards their effects are even more potent as the winds of magic lash and recoil at their blows. When a storm of magic rages these weapons are brought to the battlefield once again to bring down the titanic beasts set loose upon the world.” - Magic Weapon

The Crucible of Horrors = ”No one knows from whence the Crucible of Horrors came, but contained within the flash of twisted meteoric iron is a vortex of seething black energy which screams like the torment of damned souls. This deadly artefact has been sought out by many down the centuries, and it has passed through the hands of many tyrants, arch-sorcerers, wizards and kings, and at its use the destruction of cities and slaughter of armies has been laid. When unleashed the power of the crucible is erratic and dangerously unstable, but it can unleash devastation and even create nightmarish doppelgangers of slain monsters to fight at the wielder’s bidding. The power of the Crucible of Horrors is treacherous however, as more than one would be conqueror has found to their cost.” - Enchanted Items

The White Sistrum = ”There are many night-haunted legends originating from the foetid jungles and deadly wastes of the far hinterlands of Khuresh. Stories abound of the dread Snake Men and the foul and nightmarish Blood Naga queens who rule there, and it is a realm where men are no more than hunted prey, and blood and souls are the only coin in trade. Rarely do artefacts of this fell civilisation reach the Old World and all are steeped in blood and misunderstood power. One such artefact is the White Sistrum, a strange ivory-grown, drum shaped like an hourglass, whose discordant music brings madness and death, and evokes the terrible rites of the Naga.” - Arcane Item

    Lore Information Regarding the Skaven

When a series is being continuously updated for a quarter of a century there is bound to be a massive amount of lore that has been created for it. This is an attempt to collate important snippets of lore that I have found during my research into units. I am presenting these in note form rather than in quote form due to the sheer amount of information that is potentially able to be displayed here, but I hope that it will prove useful or interesting to you regardless.

    General Information
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    - In the remote past rats ate warpstone and eventually turned into the skaven
    - Few humans are aware that the skaven underworld exists, and fewer have the courage to do anything about it
    - There are thirteen secret cities in the Old World, each ruled by one of the thirteen Lords of Decay
    - Many warlord clans are little more than gangs
    - Skaven battle standards are depraved works are art made by using warpstone and blood to create images that twist and move with a life of their own

    https://i.imgur.com/sGPfEc4.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - Among the clanrat warriors are vicious black skaven who form a warrior elite, often as retainers of the Skaven Warlords
    - Skavenslaves are lowest caste of skaven society.
    - They are driven into battle by more vicious skaven and hobbled together in chains.

    https://i.imgur.com/ylHOrTE.jpg 3rd Ed. Armies Book

    - Skaven obsess over warpstone, to them it is a delicacy, a drug, a gateway to power and a fuel for their eldritch magics and machines
    - Skretch’s lust for warpstone is what made him lead a fleet to attack Galleon’s Graveyard

    https://i.imgur.com/oIF1y6I.png Dreadfleet Rulebook

    - Beneath the festering hole of Putrid Pit there lies a rich vein of warpstone.
    - Warpstone can power incredible machines and help create monstrous plagues.

    https://i.imgur.com/so9kTbY.png White Dwarf 245

    - Skaven society is built on the shaky foundations of backstabbing, blame, intrigue, false alliances and thorough disregard for fairness
    - Warlords have no qualms about switching allegiances, leaving comrades to hang or stepping on their corpses to achieve power
    - In the past 800 years the ratmen have spent 500 of them in open civil war
    - Larger clans will often enslave smaller ones

    https://i.imgur.com/va571YT.png White Dwarf 361

    https://i.imgur.com/es238w2.png White Dwarf 361

    - They are used for work, and if there isn’t enough food, they’re used for that instead
    - Warring clans have been known to infiltrate rival clans and instigate slave revolts
    - Slave revolts are common

    https://i.imgur.com/je4vQyd.png White Dwarf 361

    - Skaven don’t believe in fighting fair
    - A favourite scheme of the skaven is to unleash a disease on the enemy such as Crimson Death, Toxic Groxpox or the Thrash-rash

    https://i.imgur.com/AyBaLg7.png White Dwarf 361

    - The ratmen would love to use a rocket to reach the moon Morrslieb to get an endless supply of warpstone
    https://i.imgur.com/KRD5t88.png White Dwarf 361

    - The tunnels of the Under-Empire cross the entire Old World, and nothing goes unnoticed by the beady eyes of the ratmen.
    - The Skaven have spies everywhere, from the foul sewers beneath the teeming cities of the Empire, to the dark abandoned mines beneath the Dwarf holds of the Worlds Edge Mountains. And so, the Skaven knew of the reappearance of the Nemesis Crown as soon as the other races did.
    - A handful of their vile number remembered half-whispered tales of a powerful artefact, wrought from precious warpstone that had been stolen many centuries ago by a mad Dwarf.
    - By night, Skaven agents listen in as generals hatch plans, so the ratmen anticipate the actions of their foe, ever working to disrupt them for the ultimate benefit of the Skaven Under-Empire.
    - For the time being, the Skaven do not have large enough numbers in the Great Forest to launch a direct attack, and must bide their time.

    - They began to revere the diseases that were destroying them and became immune to their effects.
    - Plague Lords fight with a frothing frenzy and their various diseases make them immune to all but the strongest blows.

    https://i.imgur.com/R9AoHsk.png White Dwarf 305
