"I am also seeking election this year, for praetor, and I will need support. Last year was a big disappointment." he conceded.

"I can certainly support your candidacy for praetor, in fact I would be pleased to do so. Can I expect you to do the same in regards of my aspirations?"

"I am young to run for office, and the competition for Aedile is fiercer. I believe I would be better making a smaller start, in a less prestigious office than by running as Aedile and have a higher risk of non-election."
