Information Thread for Potential New Lizardman Units
The Lizardmen, sometimes known as the Cold Ones, or even the Children of the Gods, are an ancient, savage race of cold-blooded reptiles that were at one time the first and oldest civilization within the Warhammer World. Long before the rise of Men, Elf or Dwarf, the Empire of the Lizardmen ruled supreme. Alien, enigmatic, and without mercy, the Lizardmen were there when it all began and will stop at nothing to restore order to this chaotic world. Such is what they were made to do, for they are the ancient servants of the Old Ones, the one true protectors of this very World.

Regiments of RenownSpoiler Alert, click show to read:Cohort of the Black Club = Since the days when the saurus were first created, the Cohort of the Black Club had existed. They bore the same black obsinite weapons of their predecessors - spiked stone clubs, often inlaid with bands of gold. At the head of the cohort could be found the same two-headed snake totem - a standard that had seen lizardmen victories upon every continent of the world.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...the_Black_Club
Cohort of the Copper Sun = Out of those sacred waters strode a new cohort of saurus. They were marked by crests of orange-tipped scales that shimmered beneath the noonday sun. As battle neared, it would soon be time to see what properties these new warriors would manifest – what gifts the wisdom of the Old Ones had bestowed upon them.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...the_Copper_Sun
Eye of the Canopy = The chameleon skinks known as the Eye of the Canopy were not followers of Sotek. They joined the Red Host as Tehenhauin led his cohorts towards Itza, appearing out of the undergrowth mysteriously. Although they did not speak, nor tell of their origins, it was deemed the Eyes of the Canopy had travelled from far away. The glowing orange poison-frogs they carried secreted the deadliest venom, and were not native to any of the nearby swamps.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi..._in_the_Canopy
Fire Lizards = Skink priests claimed they could see the serpent shape of the almighty Sotek within the fiery blasts emitted by these salamanders. Whether or not this was true, it was undeniable that the reptilian beasts became enraged in the presence of the hated ratspawn. Even the charred and ripped remains drew the beasts’ ire, for when all living targets were destroyed, the salamanders continued to maul the shrivelled and blackened corpses.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Fire_Lizards
Honour Guard of Hexoatl = It was only fitting for the most ancient of all living slann mage-priests to be guarded by the eldest spawnings of temple guard. Dark scaled with light blue crests, the richly bedecked Honour Guard of Hexoatl were always the most stalwart of their tenacious kind.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...ard_of_Hexoatl
Karnac’s Raiders = The lore is… so so so so bad. But still, it’s a named Lizardman unit who fought Dwarves. It could be updated to serve as a regiment of renown. Apparently they use sword, shield and longbow. Page 39.

King Froggo’s Berserkers = A skink called Froggo that was part of a village that worshipped Lost Erik when he came to an island off the coast of Lustria, he and his village were deceived by Grunsonn’s Marauders resident norse reaver Keanu, who pretended to be Lost Erik. King Froggo drove them away from the island, but not until after the skinks had been taught to “berserk”. Now they hunt down Grunsonn’s Marauders, and look for gold.
Tales of the Old World Short Story: Paradise Lost
Living Bastions = The twin bastiladons known as the Living Bastions served their crew with an obedience rarely seen in the jungle reptiles. What's more, they showed outright reverence for the great Tehenhauin, lowering their heads in his presence. Upon the armoured back of each was an ark of Sotek, its ancient weathered stone banded by stripes of precious gold.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Living_Bastions
Mist Runners = The skink skirmishers of the Mist Runners had strange markings - pale grey patches upon their blue scales - that allowed them to blend in with the fog and brackish water that surrounded Xlanhuapec. The warriors of the Mist Runners had rubbed their eyes so long with the pale blue lotus that their eyes themselves had taken on that opalescent hue. Yet they could see through the mists, allowing them to approach foes unawares.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Mist_Runners
Red Shields = They were a sacred spawning of Sotek, fated to join the infamous Red Host beneath Tehenhauin. During their journey, they found and slew the most enormous Fangadon, fashioning red shields from its mighty hide. Led by the Chieftain Hui-ixxen, the Red Shields were notoriously fierce, savagely beheading all ratspawn they encountered.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Red_Shields
Shrouded Cohort = The skinks and kroxigor of the Shrouded Cohort bore similar markings to each other. The formation was equally adept at launching ambush attacks into a foes' flanks or rear as they were at forming up in deep ranks and taking their place in the lizardmen battle line.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Shrouded_Cohort
Sky Cohort (Terradon Riders) = They were led by Tiktaq’to, Hexoatl’s Master of Skies. For his steed, and those of his formation, Tiktaq'to chose terradons from the Blacksun Cliffs. Those lime green beasts were known to be especially vicious and were trained to carry heavy weights which they would always drop perfectly on target.

The Totem of Stiqinsekt = "It was clear that it was part of the Old Ones' world plan that the Totem of Stiqinsekt should remain within the city of Pteli-Sevaaliz. The poor, misguided Skrin believed it was time to lead a crusade against the Realm of the Dead to the south, and required the Totem for its potent powers of protection against necromantic magic."
https://i.imgur.com/nP4LPDE.png White Dwarf 245
Tichi-Huichi's Raiders = They are a famous band of Dogs of War mercenaries that hail from the distant jungle-continent of Lustria. This mercenary band consist entirely of Skink warriors riding on-top of Cold Ones, known famously for their swiftness and speed during the heat of battle. Lead by the eldest of their host, Tichi-Huichi, was the last inhabitant of the city of Enxilada until the day came when he became the caregiver of a whole spawning of Lizardmen offspring.

Wind That Hungers = A squadron of ripperdactyls, they earned their name when the Red Host witnessed the unridden beasts drop from the skies and rip apart a skaven patrol. Taking this as a gift of divine vengeance from Sotek, the Red Host named the beasts the Wind That Hungers.
http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wi...d_That_Hungers
Yellow-Crested Cohort = The skinks and kroxigor of the Yellow-Crested Cohorts were from the Aureate Monument of the Rising Sun. Located in the deep jungles of the Isthmus of Pahuax, the monument had been destroyed by the invading skaven. Marked by brilliant yellow faces and crests, the cohort bore a burning hatred towards plague monks.

The Hermit-Lords of Axlotl = ”Each of the pyramid-temples of the ruined city of Axlotl is topped with an impossibly tall pillar made of the hardest obsinite. Atop each pillar sits a single Slann Mage-Priest, deep in meditation, his attentions fixed upon a distant star. These Slann never interact with each other or with any other Lizardmen, and gain sustenance through entirely magical means. They are protected from the raging jungle storms by a sphere of energy which glows all the brighter as the wind and rain lashes against it. Exactly what the Hermit-Lords await of seek in the distant stars is a mystery not even known to their fellows.”
