New Korean Unit Models
The original Korean unit models were fine for the light units, but the heavy units looked repetitive as they were all dressed in brigandine. All the new unit models are from the Mount and Blade Imjin War mod popular in the Korean M&B community. I haven't uploaded the files yet but with uanime5's permission I hope these can be incorporated into the mod.
The Capital Gapsa Archers, Swordsmen and Sword Cavalry are now armored with gyeongbun (chainmail) armor.
Heavy woldo units and cavalry are dressed in chalgap (lamellar).
There are also a variety of helmets for the Korean units. The most common was the chumju helmet (worn by the archers), while Mongol-style cone (ganju) helms were rarer.
The medium units now wear a simplified chumju.
Since it was more difficult to produce and was superior to both lamellar and chainmail, brigandine is only worn by the hero-level units, officers and generals.
I have yet to improve the gloss on these new models, since they appear too shiny at the moment.
I am also currently working on improving the brigandine armor model, since the rivet heads on the current model appear a little strange and also plan to add more unique weaponry for the Korean and Chinese units, starting with the composite bow.
Lastly, I hope to incorporate this amazing panokseon ship model from the M&B mod, though the sails are subpar and the ship model is a lot lower than reality. Panokseon were basically designed to be floating fortresses and were much taller than their Japanese counterparts to prevent boarding.
