Thread: Man harpooned during burkini race riot in Corsica

Default Man harpooned during burkini race riot in Corsica

A Burkini is a type of swimwear worn by conservative Muslims:

A tourist at a beach in the French island of Corsica took a picture of a woman in a burkini. The men of North African heritage who were with her got into an argument with the tourist. Some local youths intervened on the side of the tourist and a fight broke out. The Muslim men called for backup, and their friends arrived with hatchets and harpoons. The riot lasted several hours before riot police could stop it. Four people were seriously injured. One of the injured was a pregnant woman. Another was a man impaled by a harpoon. This comes just days after the mayor of Cannes banned burkinis from his town's beaches.

This is the silliest story I've heard in a few weeks. I've taken pictures of people in public places before, and I know the majority of people of every creed don't like being the main focus of the photos taken by strangers who haven't asked permission. I'm not sure who started the fight. Obviously bringing hatchets and harpoons was an act of extreme violence and those guys ought to be imprisoned.

What are you opinions about this?

Sounds like a wild beach party. Guess some maghreb's sister's ankle was too exposed when tourist took a photo. Pretty valid reason for riot where people get harpooned and hatchets swung and cars burn.

People who cant play by the european rules, they should either understand to leave on their own or get deported for behaving like this.

Strange, that woman is wearing a burkini but still somehow manages to muster a smile for the camera.

Probably for hygienic reasons (at least, that's why non-standard swimwear is banned in public pools).

wearing religious clothing in public has been illegal in France since forever

Now Progressives are trying to change that to appease the Salafists that sign checks to them.

    1. She is the migrant. She is the newcomer. She should adapt to Europe. No one is interested in her "culture" or "Allah" or whatever.

    2. If she doesnt like it, she is free to go back to the desert and wear a dirtbag there.

Europe is turning into a mental asylum, ridiculous!

What makes a religious clothing? Is a long sleeve shirt religious clothing? It similarly shows minimum amount of skin.

What's messed up is passing judgment on people's mental status based on what they wear.

Well you should keep your culture to yourself and not impose it on others.

If you want a proper answer, ask someone who's in the business of managing public pools. IIRC it's because long clothes of any kind make it easier for people to get into a pool while still dirty. More importantly though, the clothes themselves can be dirty or contaminate the pool somehow.
With this in mind, it's simply antisocial to insist on special privileges because of religion.
Probably the best thing to do is for like-minded people who prefer burkinis or other full body wear for some reason to set up private swimming pools with a dress code of their own choice. Doesn't even have to be "Muslim only".
Maybe that'll also reduce the amount of sexual harassment and antisocial behaviour the regular folks in public pools are subjected to ATM, on behalf of "young men".

Public pools are dirty cesspits anyways, i also don't really care about those women's wellbeing. They constantly fret over our efforts to help them assimilate and defend this crap just like their men. So they can set themselves ablaze for all i care, if they want to.

The priority imo should be to show them that this culture is only allowed to thrive here within reason and that they are expected to adapt or leave.
