Been working on this for awhile... almost have it where it looks about the way I want it too.
Doubled the number of particles available for each effect... cut the number emitted a bit per meter... and made the smoke last about 60 times longer than it used too!
Looks pretty cool, and you can totally see where things are firing...
I'll upload it in a bit. But no one gets to complain if it trashes your video card. I'm testing it out on my 7950gt and so far there is NO slowdown.
