I have just recently started my first Let's Play series on youtube. I'm just an average player recording my actual gameplay as it happens and with live commentary not scripted I play for my enjoyment and love of Rome1/BI and occasionally M2TW/Kingdoms mods.
I've never played FATW or anything similar, nor do I know much about the lore. I discovered the mod one day when I was looking for something different to play as a parallel series to my 1st LP (Roma Surrectum III) and was really impressed. I decided to play as Dale, leading me to research a little about the mod and Faction. I came across CountMRVHS's superb write up, and after some dialogue with said person, plus added advice from MasterOfNone, they both suggested to open my own thread and post my video's, so here I am. This is my new hobby so therefore I have not monetized my channel. Please accept I am no cinematographer nor top notch narrator, I suffer from short term memory loss & I get tongue tied sometimes but I'm having fun. Please feel free to subscribe, like, comment and help encourage me. I hope you will be suitably entertained by this series and follow me on my journey into the unknown
EDIT1: Arrrrrrrrg!!! Literally minutes after I posted my 1st LP video, I spotted a notification from Webba84 informing me he had uploaded DoM 3.2 to Moddb and it's not savegame compatable
EDIT2: No problem, I have a plan I will install 3.2 and replay part one as close to how I did originally and continue from there

Thanks Count, I'm quite raw at this, I find it kind of strange talking to my monitor while reading stuff and trying to concentrate on what's happening all at the same time, it's like my brain goes on auto and is waiting for a reply

I'd say you're picking a good time to do this, though - the patch release may generate some more site traffic, which might help your views!

Just remember that every single YouTuber ever was terrible when they started out. You get better, believe me. I'd say you're already pretty good too, which is a leg up. I've spent over a year of my life in Edinburgh due to family so it's almost like we're Scottish buddies yaaaaaay!

I did not buy any recording software, I have a well known GPU with free recording ( I think we know who I mean) and I use a video converter software from the web, I have not mentioned any brand name for fear of being scolded but it's FREE and you can MAKE mp4 conversions for uploading to youtube. I donated $10 for an upgrade and therefore avoided having an automatic 3 or 4 second advertisement for their excellent product at the end of my videos.

I use a crappy Lenovo laptop (lovingly dubbed the Tulkapotato) to play and a Blue Yeti to speak and OBS to record and Sony Movie Studio 13.0 to edit huzzah! Yaaaaaaaay Caledonia!

Aye thanks young man, I have no idea what happened, as I posted I got a message on my browser saying shockwave had crashed and if I wanted to reload. Thinking that I needed to I did and ended up with 3 copies of my post , I wasn't even aware that I had shockwave, now it's popping up all the time on here and I get a scroll freeze with it, I also get a very loud audible advert now and again too, I have not a clue what's going on I did a virus check and all is well.

The forum often double posts - some glitch somewhere that's been around for a few years now. Happens to me about one in every 8 posts or so at a guess. Don't know why TWC have never sorted it out.

Yes, Rhun is throwing a lot your way - one of the consequences of choosing Hard (Bullroaring) campaign difficulty! You're doing great in the battles, though.

One thing you might consider is striking into their heartlands with the aim of diverting their attention. The AI is fairly responsive to your movements on the campaign map, and I've often seen them turn back from an invasion if I am threatening one of their own towns.

This is a little risky since it can feel like you're leaving your towns undefended, but in some cases aggressive town-taking is the only way to put the brakes on enemy invasions.
