I'm wondering, in general, how exactly a government of a country is supposed to rule and control its army? I mean, isn't it correct that any powerful enough "group of interests", with the right influence and money, could "persuade" the army of a "lesser" country to turn on its government and start a coup?

so Turkey was right to communicate a warning to the Russian pilot within Turkey's airspace, when the Russian pilot ignored (as per usual, they just don't give a), Turkey did good in blowing them out of the sky

If the rumor is correct , then Erdogan is not worthy as a leader. A real leader stands in the front line with his suporters and not leave and wait his suporters to do the job for him.

Over 20 large pro-Erdogan protests reported in major cities, the call of Erdogan was heard, it appears either coup is failing or civil war is starting.
The Kurds are completely silent with is very worrying to everyone apparently.

My relatives near Atatürk Airport joined protests and disabled coup soldiers, blocked tanks and their equipment, lol just pathetic.
