Just passing through. As ever superb renditions, but as you rightly say the front plate needs adjusting. Trying to find a good illustration has been difficult - couldn't find a photograph. Afraid these are the best I can do (other than black and white line drawings)

The problem with the front plate is not the texture, I could make one, it's the mesh.
The helmets are usually symetrical, so I can have the Hessian helmet, which is not symetrical. I have to use part of the Russian helmet, where there is some place devoted to a non symetrical plate, but it is much smaller than I need.
My skills with mesh editing are limited to small modification, I cannot make a mesh from scratch, and that's what the Hessian helmet would require.
