That sudden cavalry charge through the gate at Vienna is a shocking development - as you said, this changed the outcome of the battle. A brave battle, indeed - yes, it is very difficult (or impossible) to defend a fort when three gates have fallen. Despite the Austrian attack on Vienna, it looks like Spain is close to victory in this campaign, with just Texas to capture.

The battle of Vienna was fantastic, and I really felt like Leonidas at Thermopylae. For a while we are holding our line, and thinking to ourselves- we can win. But then, just like Persians surrounded the Greeks, the Austrians used their cavalry to deal with us. One more part and the campaign is over.
Spain's war against Austria in both Europe and the Americas seems to have gone well, despite the presence of several Austrian armies which could have threatened your lands in Croatia and northern Italy. Russia seems to be advancing towards your borders, if the campaign had continued I imagine that they would have been your next opponent. The siege battle at Vienna, when you faced such a large Austrian army, provides a suitably grand climax for your final episode. Congratulations on your successful campaign!
