    Default Invisible artillery projectiles

    As the title suggest, the projectiles of catapults and ballistas are invisible. The machines shoot and the projectiles hit the ground (that is shown as normal), but they can't be seen in the air.
    Only a graphic thing, but noteworthy nontheless.
    I already tried reinstalling the game and the mod, the issue persists. And it doesn't occur in the main game ir other mods.

    Huh, I'm *pretty* sure I've seen the missiles going through the air myself - like the flaming missiles shot from Dwarven catapults, for example.

    Is this for the Dwarven units, or any other faction's missiles?

    Okay, I have to correct myself. It seems the issue persists in the base game aswell, so it is not a bug within your mod. Please excuse this silly mistake

    I'm having this issue (Windows 10, Nvidia) with vanilla (and thus mods also). Reinstalled the game but made no difference.

    Anyone not on Windows 10/Nvidia experiencing it?

    Waaiiiiit a minute... I seem to recall having this issue way back when with the old disc version of BI. But you guys couldn't possibly be using that on windows 10, right? o_O

    I have Windows 7 Pro/Nvidia/Discs and only occasionally had an issue with both types missiles(all mods), but I found that moving the unit(archers or catapult/lithobolos/stone throwing balista closer or away from units which were immediately in front, then re-targeting solved the problem

    This is not a random problem. It is constant regardless of circumstances. I suspect some Windows or Nvidia update has done it. Would be good to know the specs of those who are suffering from this issue and whether or not any solutions have beren found. Never had this issue before (even rarely).

    I also now notice that having shadows on creates issues:

    black 2D boxes around units & white glitch on grass and dead bodies (the former with shadows switched on and both with hiqg quality shadows activated). This is also true in vanilla.

    I think RTW is struggling with the latest windows 10/Nvidia updates.

    I've just updated to the latest nvidia drivers (still windows 7), so I'll give it a try and see what the results are.

    A bit more on this. I've found out that it is an issue connected with Direct X.

    There's a solution in #2 of the second post here:

    This makes projectiles and fire visible again, but I have not found out how to use it and have the game in full screen. If anyone knows, let me know!

    You can just rename the d3d8.dll file (so that the game ignores it) in the Rome root directory to restore projectiles, but this is reported to increase lag.
