I bought MTW2 trough STEAM. When i check regedit i do what the guides tell me and find the MTW2 folder... NO, I DON'T SEE ANY VALUES FOR CDKEY OR VALUES THAT ARE REPRESENTING ANYTHING! All i see is (Standard) which don't have any values. So can anyone help me?
im having the same issue. i just had sega issue me a second CD-key. can anyone help me with this? im using windows 7 but cant find anything regarding a cd-key or anything like it.
my cd key dosent work.
i put it in but it dosent let me carry on
the next button is still grayed out
help please
For those with windows 7 it is hkey_local_machine --> software -->wow6432node --> sega
And with that good luck
well,
i use windows 7 and it worked and i could find sega wheree you told but
which field do i have to enter the cd key?
and i have lost my cd key! as my cd key was in the game box and i lost it in moving from one house to another!
Gad I HATE cd-keys! I always loose them. I'm getting the same error message as everyone else. Never tried online. Tought I'd give it a try. Well no luck for me.. Why would the game be installed in the first place if the cd-key was incorect?
I'm having the same issue. I have Vista and I can follow the path in the registry editor to rhe Medieval 2 folder, but there's no line for a cd key, only one that says: (Default), REG_SZ, (value not set). For the name, type, and data fileds respectivly. I also bought it on Steam, and I am not seeing a cd key anywhere.
How can I get a cd-key field to show up (create it I assume?) and how do I get my cd-key from steam?

Just reinstall the game. It'll save you a lot of time.
I did what was told here, and was very careful about my typing, but it did not work until i tried putting the - between the sets of 4, then everything was fine
