Removing Unit Banners

In previous TW games it's been possible to remove the banners over the units either by changing the preferences in-game or by editing the preferences file.

I've checked in-game and it does not seem possible to be done there.

Has anyone found this in the preferences file? At the moment one of the joys of using Windows 10 is that I can't change the permissions to even edit the AppData folder in the 'virtual store' (there are times I can't even create a new folder unless I run some fixes - but then I get a Windows update and it messes it up again).

Edited: The account I use on my PC has admin rights.

During a battle, you can press and hold spacebar, which will pop out a little checkbox list on the right side of your screen. That menu lets you show/hide various UI elements.

That should do it!

During a battle, hold down space bar and you get a list of options. You can disable unit banners there.

can you please tell me how to do it for rtw, and no changing prefernces does not work AT ALL!

You have to change directly in the config file with notepad.
