I'm a lot more in favor of letting players set their own terms for resolving conflicts.

I don't have a strong opinion on whether Jadli's rules are good or not. But perhaps it is better for rules like that to be made part of the hotseat when it is first created, so that players can make an informed decision as to whether or not they wish to join. If they are implemented now, some players may decide to leave the hotseat.
Good luck to everyone.
Well, they still have time to say yes or no.
Most of the wars will end up as white peace anyway, what means they can make their own diplomacy. Its up to victor whether he presses his claims, he doesnt have to demand lands or money from defeated enemy
I like the rules but arent they more suited for RP HotSeats?
I think if we just go by these rules now we are definently gonna get arguments about them mid-hotseat about how some people didnt want them or how they are "unfair" in some reason. Maybe we could add em in Dragonborn comes?
white peace ? the war ends when the enemy is dead
Great work Jad!
Yet I also agree that's more suited for RP hotseats, I'd prefer to just proceed with the current rules in place.
And therefore we come to the next point =>
How will this HS be adminned? Will Joerock hold to a strict approach of the rules, only enforcing the rules that are listed in OP or will there be a flexible approach of the rules (admin in a minimal law interpreter) => if the admin senses an exploit or other problem not listed in the OP he can enforce it, even retroactively (in the same turns eg turn 1,2,3,4, ...) => (admin in as a max law interpreter).
Recently we have had a lot of issues with this, including an HS I have been playing. If you want the admin in the strict/narrow approach that set of rules need to be much more extensive (I heard GS is working on it, but it's a work in progress). So and admin with the flexible approach?
We need to settle this now, before these issues come up mid-game
there is an entire list of exploits in the community tavern, all of these are banned and will be used for any HS I am hosting(also stated in OP)
Generally I do try to hold to the strict approach, i.e. enforce the rules as they are written. But there are exceptions. The rule banning exploits/bugs is worded pretty broadly, so that gives me some flexibility. I read the rules and I didn't see any obvious holes. Is there anything specific you are concerned about?
Historically the ambiguity has been in what is considered an exploit versus an unorthodox use of the game mechanics. Mostly involving me me deliberately losing battles in order to achieve a greater strategic objective.
