I'd like to change unit recruitment a bit so when you raise troops you are raising an army, not just a unit. Units won't be nearly as replenishable. It'd be kind of like being given a few armies every now and then.

One way is to edit the recruitment pools somehow so that you can recruit many units at a time but it takes a long time to replenish those pools, or a script that gives you an army relative to how many cities you have, population, cash etc.

This would make battles very decisive since you would effectively have a limited number of troops running around at any given time.
