Calas has several brothers Nicanor, Chares, and Chabrias from his large family.

    Biography
Calas was born in Orestis in 357 BC to a noble family who had accepted Phillip's rule and supported him throughout his reign. Calas was sent to Pella to receive an education alongside Alexander and practice normal Macedonian skills such as tactics, horse riding, and hunting. While he was far away from home, a rogue Thracian band murdered his parents, leaving only his brothers alive as his remaining family. With the loss of his parents, Calas delved ever deeper into his studies and became well known for having a way with horses. No horse had ever thrown him and even the most violent horse was gentle with him on its back. Eventually Phillip was assassinated and Alexander ascended to the throne, and he decided to continue with his father's plans of war with the Achaemenid Empire. Due to his friendship with Alexander, Calas was given a spot among the Companion cavalry as they made their way to the Balkans to defeat the rebellious Balkan tribes. Calas' bravery was noted during the campaign and he was promoted to an officer's position among the Hetairoi as a result. With the Greeks and Balkans defeated the army finally took up arms against the Persians themselves. Calas proved himself worthy of his new position at the battle of Granicus, fighting valiantly in the charge on the Persian center and even killing several Persian nobles. Recognized once again for his bravery he was again promoted to replace a fallen officer. Calas also participated in the battle of Issus, commanding part of the allied cavalry under Parmenion in their desperate defense against the Persian onslaught. Calas was wounded during the siege of Gaza and after the fall of the city he was sent to govern the region as satrap in Tyre while Alexander conquered Egypt and toured the country. Finally recovered from his wounds, Calas rejoined Alexander's army as a commander of part of the Hetairoi. During the fighting at the battle of Gaugamela Calas again showed his bravery and tactical flair for command of cavalry and was given full command of a division or allied cavalry. Further fighting against Bessus, Spitamenes, and Scythians after the death of Darius all involved Calas in some greater or lesser role. Many years of quite grueling fighting had turned him into a hardened cavalry man who ignored any small problem such as exhaustion. Calas accompanied Alexander on his Indian campaign and was again commander of some of the cavalry during the decisive defeat of Porus at Hydapses. Calas was wounded again during the battle and was sent to Egypt this time so he could recover from his wound and reorganize the province. Calas has learned much about governing and how to rule the peoples within his satrapies. The people too have appreciated his rather just rule and the temple elites don't seem to mind the lavish donations to their coffers either. Eventually with Alexander's return from the East, he visited the court in Babylon both on business as satrap and to visit with his friend and monarch. When news of Alexander's deadly illness reached Calas, he immediately rushed to Babylon to comfort his friend at his bedside....

    Trait: Cavalry Specialist
    Ancillaries: Legendary Armor
    Age: 16
    Wife:Shaqilat bint Harithath (Trait: Fertile)

The son and heir of Calas. So far his life has been rather uneventful besides schooling and training for war. A trek to the kingdom of the Nabataeans, however, has earned him both a wife and two thousand excellent desert cavalry.

    Nicanor-brother
    Name: Nicanor
    Ethnicity: Macedonian
    Trait: Infantry Specialist
    Ancillaries: Old Captain
    Age: 30
    Wife: Berenice daughter of Antiochus

Nicanor grew up in the shadow of Calas who was the eldest of their family. He was also born in Orestis in the year 353 BC. His career was far different than that of his brother. He served as a simple phalangite in the Foot Companions before winning a promotion after the battle of Granicus for his valor in battle. When Alexander besieged Halicarnassus Nicanor showed his true talents and was instrumental in the final capture of the city while leading his infantrymen into the breach. Nicanor did not rejoin the main force until the Siege of Tyre where he was instrumental again in helping to conduct the siege of the city. He was the first on the walls in the final assault and his men lead the slaughter throughout the city. With the city taken Nicanor applied his talents again during the siege of Gaza. With the walls falling apart and the mound built, Nicanor lead major parts of the assault until the city finally fell to the Macedonians. Nicanor accompanied Alexander into Egypt and was one of the garrison commanders that was left behind to retain control of the satrapy. The arrival of his brother as satrap years later made him extremely happy and the two have collaborated ever since with Nicanor serving as Calas's right hand in his new Egyptian satrapy.

    Chabrias-brother
    Name: Chabrias
    Ethnicity: Macedonian
    Trait: Sea Dog
    Ancillaries: Legendary Armor
    Age: 33
    Wife:

Chabrias was born in 356 BC in Orestis the second born after Calas. He was extremely interested in the sea and was sent to Athens to learn the art of sailing and fighting on the water. When Alexander assembled his fleet to combat the Persian fleets Chabrias was present and was captain of one of the triremes. When the navy was disbanded, Chabrias simply followed the army until his skills could be of use again. The siege of Tyre required naval officers again and Chabrias was given command of one of the Phoenician squadrons and under his command they defeated several Tyrian sorties. When Tyre fell, Chabrais followed with the fleet to Egypt where he was given a naval post there guarding the new harbor of Alexandria and patrolling to prevent piracy. Calas' arrival as the satrap meant that Chabrias was tasked with building more ships and increasing his patrols so that piracy could be eradicated in the region. With his brother in Babylon, Chabrias patiently awaits the outcome of the Partition of Babylon.

    Chares-Brother
    Name: Chares
    Ethnicity: Macedonian
    Trait: Hellenizer
    Ancillaries: Translator
    Age: 28
    Wife:

Chares is the youngest of Calas' brothers and the only one to not directly join the Macedonian military. He was also born in Orestis, but not until 351 BC. He has been trained as both a diplomat and recruiting agent for the Macedonian Empire. His translator speaks a number of languages which has allowed him to negotiate with and hire more mercenary reinforcements for Alexander's armies. He has traveled to Egypt, Thrace, Skythia, and even Dahae entering into negotiations with native tribes or hiring the warriors among them to fight for coin. Eventually, he even led Greek mercenaries to Asia to be planted as both settlers and garrison forces all over the newly conquered territory. When news of his brother Calas' appointment to satrap in Egypt was generally known, he journeyed there to join his brothers in helping the new satrapy flourish. He continues in his former duties under his brother in Egypt. Supervising the recruitment of new soldiers into the satrapal army and he is also helping address the concerns of the native population. Temples are being built to honor the Egyptian gods, the priesthood is seeing large donations being put into their coffers, and even the common folk are having their lot improved by Chares.

    Unique Units

2x Nabataean Noble Lancers - 2 pts upkeep - Heavy cavalry from the lands of Nabataea (though to the Hellenes they would merely qualify as particularly well-equipped medium cavalry), highborn equestrians to a man who hail from the great chiefly families and have been trained to ride horses since they were young. They wear cotton or linen thorax-style body armor and bronze helmets, are armed with formidable lances in addition to long Arabic blades for extended melee combat, and do not tire as easily as most other cavalry units in the desert.

2x Nabataean Camelry - 1 pt upkeep - Unarmored light camel-riders from Nabataea. They fight with bows from afar and carry Arabic long swords for close combat, though their lack of armor beyond layers of heavy clothing leaves them at a disadvantage against all but the lightest cavalry. What does slightly even the odds for them is the fact that they ride camels, who are both more durable in desert terrain and carry a scent that frightens enemy horses.

The messenger is received with great honor at the satrapal palace in Alexandria. The city was quite hectic with builders adding more homes, shops, and even working on the new ship sheds for the navy. The shipyards were a hive of activity as well, with workers both Greek and Egyptian putting the finishing touches on the massive ships of the satrapal navy which sat in the harbor. Calas receives the message while working in his study drafting letters to many of his administration heads and commanders in his army. He smiles and gratefully accepts the offer from the regent in Macedon and sends an affirmative answer to the regent in Pella.

A well dressed Macedonian arrives to the court of the satrap of Egypt, he carries a letter from Antiochus, Satrap of Babylon, with him.

    Letter To Calas,
    Letter
Dear friend, i have good news, i have consulted my daughter about the marriage proposals and we have come to conclusion that Egypt might suit her the best, when tales of the richness of the Nile reached her ears she fell immediately in love with Egypt, therefore you have our mutual agreement of myself and my daughter to marry her to your brother Nicanor when she comes of age. It is my hope she will adjust there well to the new lands and she might be a strong wife supportive of here husband.

I hope with this agreement that this will cement our friendship eternally and keeps us united against the barbaroi.

    Signed, Antiochus, satrap of Babylon.

In the late evening of the day a large group of riders approached the gates of Alexandria, once they entered the gates they identified themselves as Antiochus, satrap of Babylon, Berenice, daughter of Antiochus, and as the sons of Antiochus, Cleisthenes, Diodotus and Xenophon. Once they arrived to the royal palace, Antiochus met with Calas. Antiochus was the first one to speak

Dear friend Calas, i have arrived atlast with my daughter and my sons. And as you may notice with Berenice's personal property and slaves. referring to the trusted slaves of Berenice and the goods she wanted to bring with her.

I have brought my sons here aswell as it might be the last time they see here in life so they could bid farewell to their sister after the marriage is completed, moreover i brought some texts with us so she might finish her own tales during her stay in Egypt.

Now, calas, can you bring you brother Nicanor to us, i think Berenice wants to meet her future husband just as we would like to meet him for the first time.

Calas smiles and gestures to his brother Nicanor who approached Antiochus and his family. Nicanor is weathered and scarred from his many battles with Greeks, Persians, and other barbarians. He is in peak physical condition and dressed in some of the finest of Macedonian apparel for the occasion.

"Hail Antiochus. I am Nicanor, second to Calas in his satrapy, and in charge of maintaining the armed forces while
he addresses other matters. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance and a joy to meet your fair daughter."

Antiochus shaked hands with Nicanor as a sign of goodwill. As did the sons of Antiochus.

Hail Nicanor, i am Antiochus and these are my sons, Cleisthenes, Diodotus and Xenophon. It is honor to cement our alliance through a marriage between you and my daughter, i hope you will find eternal happiness in eachother's arms and that the marriage proves a happy one to our mutual benefit. May i present you my daughter, Berenice?

Behind Antiochus' sons stood a small young woman dressed in a expensive white Himation, seemingly so innocent but yet so adorable, she stepped forward to Nicanor and for the first time she saw her future husband. Carefully she spoke out

The blessings of Athena upon you, Nicanor, i pray to Hera our marriage might prove one of happiness.

Nicanor smiled as he and all the male Antiochids clasped hands and he nodded his head to Berenice before speaking.

"Surely a marriage with a beautiful woman such as Berenice can only be successful. Even Aphrodite cannot claim a spot next to you! Truly I promise a happy marriage in which you will want for nothing and both of our houses will be stronger for it. Hera will surely bless a perfect coupling such as ours and I have no doubt you will come to love Egypt as I have."

Oh Nicanor, you flatten me, tell me more about these lands later, but excuse me, i'm tired of the long journey and i need sleep, if you will allow me i will see you tomorrow and hopefully our marriage will be completed as soon as possible.

The Antiochids were tired of the long journey and wanted to sleep, they would continue to do their thing tomorow

Nicanor nods and clasps the older man's hand tightly.

"I'm quite ready Antiochus and I understand you must be back to your satrapy much sooner rather than later. Let the marriage begin so that this alliance between my brother and yourself can be cemented."

Very well, i will prepare my daughter for the marriage.

Antiochus went back to the room where Berenice resides, he prepared a bath for Berenice to bath in, this bath symbolizes fertility and purification. Once done, all of Antiochus relatives went back to Nicanor to see the marriage completed, before the marriage is completed the bride and the groom are supposed to make offerings to the gods to ensure a fruitful future life. Berenice spoke first

Blessing upon you Hera, i kneel and pray for you to ensure my marriage will prove a good and happy one, i pray and kneel to you Artemis to bestow us with blessed children so that our union might last throughout the ages.

after saying this, Berenice offered some flowers to the gods and then stood back again, she walked to her father and stood next beside him waiting for Nicanor to do his supposed blessing and to finally undress her ceremonial veil to finally make the marriage official, behind Antiochus stood the sons of him, watching Berenice closely.

Calas and the others of his household look on as Nicanor prepares his offering to his chosen gods.

"I ask Ares to give me strength and victories in the battles that are surely to come, I ask Hera to bless this marriage so that it is both fruitful and full of happiness for the both of us, and lastly I beseech Zeus to bless us as he did Alexander so that this union and our very lives will flourish."

With that Nicanor offers a finely decorated shield, fruits native to Egypt, and the feathers of an eagle and removes the veil from his new bride. Completing the ceremony.

After the marriage had been completed, a grand party was organized to celebrate the marriage, wine and food erupted throughout all of the room of the party, and according to Macedonian customs the party resulted in heavy drinking, all of the younger Antiochids were drunk but not their father, too pride and old he thought. He went instead to Calas and Nicanor.

The marriage is completed and our alliance is sealed through Berenice and you, Nicanor, take care well of her and respect her with your heart.

Then Antiochus turns himself to Calas

If you need any help in the future you can count on me as a friend, Calas, as soon as morning starts we will return to Babylon. I bid you farewell and wish you the very best.

Then he heeded towards Berenice to bid her farewell

Goodbye, Berenice, be strong and just, do not mourn about our departure but think of happier things.

Berenice nodded and kissed her father on the cheek

Farewell father, and farewell to my brothers.

Then the male Antiochids left Alexandria once the morning passed, they went to Egypt with Berenice and left egypt without Berenice, she is now family of Calas, satrap of Egypt.

    Hail Regent of the Empire,

Request that they reenter the imperial fold, peacefully if you can, if not you are empowered to do whatever can be done to return them to the embrace of mother Macedonia. Should the olive branch fail you must use all your military might to ensure stability in Africa. As for allowing you to head the navy of the empire, I will allow you to rally the naval forces of the empire to your banners when I as the regent call for the imperial navy.

Several Macedonian riders approach the gate of Alexandria and after a small pause they travel to the palace of the satrap. The riders bring with them a coffer filled with gold to the satrap so he can fund his troops, aswell as some books for his daughter, Berenice, to read.

With Calas and many of his family campaigning against the Arabians, the governor of the city thanks the riders.

"Your assistance is welcome in this, please send thanks to your master as well for his generosity."
