I'm not a specialist of the 18th century but have more knowledge about Middle Ages. SSHIP is based on M2TW - Kingdoms.
So, if I write an article about how the food evolved in Western Europe between the 12th and 15th centuries, how can that serve my mod?
If I write an article about how the perception of the Catholic religion by the common French people changed during the same period from the fear of God to something more personal and more focused on the Cult of Mary, how can that serve my mod?
If I write an article about how the art evolved in Western Europe still for the same period, how can that serve my mod?

The argument saying that you can't write something on a specific time of History without serving your mod is flawed.
Yes, the article would be 100% useful. Agricultural production and its effects can modded and add more realism to the game. I have written such article and have implemented in my CAI Improvement Beta testing.

If you want the Curator to have that power, then leave the adjetive. And in any case, the possibility would kind of still exist despite its removal due to the "To qualify for the X award, the nominee must have..." line.

If giving the Curator that power is not intended at all, then the adjetive is utterly pointless..
Qualify and Eligible are synonyms. The meaning is the same; it comes down to word choice. In this case, the word choice is good and appropriate.
The Curator's power is checked by raising an objection in the Townhall thread or, if severe enough, proposing a VonC.

Where have you seen that I mentioned agricultural stuff? I wrote food, not farming. I was talking about societal study, not farming.
And what about the 2 others?

I'm always amazed how you're avoiding to answer corrrectly to my questions and/or arguments

This is a joke right? How is food not agriculture? Granted agriculture is more than just food and you can have food without agriculture, but the vast majority of food production is through agriculture. Even the raising of animals is depended upon it. Anyway, I hope this is a really bad joke.

Well, your call, but all of that strikes me as an unnecessary hassle just to include an unnecessary adjetive. Specially considering that it would be rather unfair to VonC a Curator who were actually applying the Constitution, as it's his/her job. If the issue is with the way the Constitution is written, the solution should be to amend it, not to penalize someone who is acting according to his/her legal duty and who would actually be accountable if wasn't.

In any case, hardly the main issue which should be being discussed here, so I'll not go on about it.

Since I currently do not feel like being accused of changing the constitution just to give Ngugi another award or promoting change for change's sake rather than genuine reasoning, and neither feel like responding to the filibustering of this proposal by some people's failure to acknowledge the difference between "necessarily/strictly related to" and "contingently/coincidentally related to", you may consider this proposal abandoned. Anyone may feel free to post a copy in the Proth if they want to see it voted on, I'll happily support it then.

Thank you for initiated a suited debate none the less, Iskar

    Being a relevant discussion about whether we should adapt to a potentially outdated view that do not reflect common perception, or if our rewards should be adapted to match a potentially general modern perception, I say this;
it is proper that a contribution is not rewarded with a Large Award twice (I would not vote on me on that ground, even if I consider the current requirments for the awards being blindfolded), and it is utterly silly that anybody should oppose a reformation because of my case, when the reformation matter is principal and not about me. The topic is and must be more serious than so.

Feel free to use my case - a.k.a of a thread not about a mod or TW, but placed in the TW board - for ongoing or future discussions equally. But to end the concern, for the sake of a more sober debate, I proclaim that I will not accept future Phalera nominations based on the Tolkien General Discussions-thread, nor accept the award would it be proposed and voted for, on said grounds, without my consent.
So that petty matter is out of the way!
