Was surprised to notice that there was not a thread about this topic in the first page, so i here i go on my own thoughts!
Warhammer is the most famous tabletop miniature versus game in world so i think the multiplayer this time deserves a little more emphasis, the bare-bones model that has been around since the first total wars is just no longer acceptable. Shogun II had some good ideas of what could be in sense multiplayer, and multiplayer campaigns are not a bad thing to start with either. CA has sadly been not so much up to the task at all to be honest when it comes to considering the multiplayer aspect of total war, they went backwards in that sense when it comes to Rome II and Attila, and the arena does not fit everyone's needs. So to sum up few thoughts to throw:
-proper matchmaking and quick match search
-proper ranks and same-level enemy searh
-customizable armies with banners and colours etc
-customizable generals, lords, heroes etc
-cutting edge unit balance
-unlockable content to show your progress but which does not affect game balance (skins, banners, units, models, rewards etc)
-reconnect option!
-improved multiplayer campaign (performance surely needs boost, also more players would be more fun)
-hotseat campaign (and a 2 pc hotseat campaign with more players)
so what do you think?
