Multiplayer doesn't work for me.

So I have Medieval 2 installed on Steam. I have this mod installed so it launches with the universal launcher. I have no submods installed. 3.0 and 3.2 are installed. Medieval 2 is at its latest update. Of course no multiplayer games are running on the same version as me. Okay, fine, whatever. But when I try to host my own game, I select a map, go to the next section, and my game crashes. Multiplayer just does not work. I've tried reinstalling this mod entirely and it didn't work. What am I doing wrong? I can't find any answers to this online, but I can find people asking for solutions.
