This thread is to provide a large list of mid game files for people to try. The packs allow the recruitment of ALL unit types available to the faction with a good income and stable situation. This allows you to expand as you wish and/or try out the units of the faction in an organic setting.
HOW TO PLAY:
File Explorer -> C:\ -> Users -> <Your Username> -> AppData (may be hidden, enable option to see hidden folders if needed) -> Roaming -> The Creative Assembly -> Rome2 -> Save_games
Just drop the file in that folder, start the game game, and select the saved game from your saved game list.
SUGGESTED SUBMODS:
- 12 turns per year (mainly so my generals don't all die before they get lots of stars)
- No unit upgrades pack (makes my troops less overpowered and encourages more diversity)
- Reduced Imperium for Reforms (makes it able to get elite troops without expanding so much)
CRUSADER STATES:
Some replays have a "C" in their name. This means they are a "crusader state" meaning instead of expanding where the faction ordinarily starts I sailed to a new place in the world and carved out a new home. This is intended to mix up factions fighting unusual opponents for variety and challenge. For example, I took Bactria and created a home in Spain to try out afgans and indian elephants against the celtic cultures. Try it out, things don't always work out as you might predict!
NOTE: DEI is intended to be played on normal, but I play on Very Hard/Very Hard to make it more challenging. This may mean AI battles are a lot harder than you are used to!

Arche Bosphorus (greek)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/47iad5l38f...%20E.save?dl=0
One of the best greek factions, featuring strong agriculture based economy and a blend of horselord and greek units. Elite hoplites, horsearchers, companian cavalry, fast moving steppe axemen, elite archers, rhompnirae, even reasonable adequate slingers/skirmishers make this one of the most well rounded greek factions. Ideal for people who like tactical variety.
Averni (celtic)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0wvyunwbec...%20E.save?dl=0
Core Celtic culture, featuring excellent heavy infantry, a good assortment of cav, excellent naked shock warriors, and pretty much no missile units of at all.
Bactria - C (greek)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0gdhoqp0j4...%20C.save?dl=0
Powerful Indian Elephants, Greek core with Afgan skirmishers, horsebows, and light cav. One of the most interesting and powerful greek factions.
Basileion Odryson (thrace)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/d3uawpke9t...%20E.save?dl=0
Noble Falxman murder all other infantry, plus excellent skirmishers.
Boii (celtic)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1hmb1wa0ip...%20E.save?dl=0
Pretty typical celtic faction with one interesting twist -- naked longsword/bow shock troops with fear. That one unit changes EVERYTHING.
Cantiabri (spanish)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gu7kdv8mre...%20E.save?dl=0
One of the most powerful endgame rosters in the game, featuring 2h axemen shock troops with fear, baeleric slinger ranged supremacy, excellent cavalry, and fast moving high offense infantry. One of the best hit and skirmish blends out there.
Getae (dacian)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qmko1oklw9...%20C.save?dl=0
A wide variety of elite troops include godlike archers, horsearchers, good medium cavalary, falxmen, and many affordable medium quality units.
Galations (celtic)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gnhkhedsv7...%20E.save?dl=0
Common celtic core with probably the best medium cavalry in the game and some roman influenced heavy infantry types. Perhaps the most powerful celtic roster.
Horde (samaratan/horselords)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/n0dwwer7fd...%20E.save?dl=0
Perhaps the most difficult faction in the game early on, the Horde has superb cavalry of all kinds and very little else.
Iceni (british) - C
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bu3p92wecq...%20C.save?dl=0
A surprisingly excellent blend of heavy infantry, claymore shock troops, chariots, ambushers, and more.
Mamlakatha (arab) - C
https://www.dropbox.com/s/74y361rgtb...%20C.save?dl=0
Often overlooked, the arabs have camels (counter horses), good archers, great horsearchers, and fair infantry. If only they had Hygar Hygar!
Pergamon (greek)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2v85okg911...%20E.save?dl=0
Pergamon has elite versions of the typical greek units, making it a familiar but extremely powerful greek force.
Carthage (punic)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/oziiun1iuy...%20E.save?dl=0
Elephants, iberian flavor, and old style hoplites.
Parthia (eastern)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/fkkj2cd8gz...thia.save?dl=0
Elite Horse Archers, Cataphracts, Elite Foot Archers, Mediocre Infantry, and Elephants. Probably the best of the cavalry focused cultures.
ROME (sons of mars)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ih55n4tvsu...CTOR.save?dl=0
Carthage is defeated, Legionary reforms are live.
Sweboz (german)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/a1ibrgfyyj...%20E.save?dl=0
Shock infantry, ambushers, and fair cavalry.
Syracuse (greek)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hoapdnn2bo...usai.save?dl=0
Excellent lancers, the legendary gastraphaltes, and affordable medium quality units.
Taksashila (indian)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/e59386hglk...%20E.save?dl=0
So you think the gastraphaltes is the best ranged unit, eh? Also features fast moving cav and fair infantry/skirmishers greek style.
