    I'm learning how to unlock factions for the mod because me and other people want to play the unplayable factions but the creator doesn't have enough time. He knows that I trying to help him. I thought I add those 2 files.

    I just sent you a PM. For mods already created, it is not useful to modify the "startpos.esf" file with the PFM. You will always have this bug:

    You used to be able to do this directly through BOB but it hasnt worked for a while, I'll give this a try as a way to bypass that process

    I have followed the tutorial on first page but faction does not appear in game, I have also added the relevant tables as well. i am trying to unlock a faction from this mod: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forum...t-Empires-(AE)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello. You must modify the tables "political_parties" and "faction_political_parties_junctions" that includes in the mod through the PFM. Can you show me a snapshot of the changes you have made in those tables?


    EDIT: Also take a look in the "faction_to_faction_groups_junctions" table to check if your faction is included in a group so that it can appear in the campaign selection menu.

    EDIT: ok I seem to have it working now as there was a "tick" I added into the political_parties and the faction now shows in game!

    Hello again Clint Eastwood. Thanks for the information and sorry for the delay, but I downloaded the mod because I wanted to make sure of some things.

    The "political_parties" table can be modified as you see fit, and the correct thing would be to check the "playable" box for the ruler political parties.




    The problem was in the faction groups ("faction_to_faction_groups_junctions" table). There are only four groups in the menu and you have choose between one of them for appears the faction. In this case I have chosen the "Hellenic".




    If in the "startpos.esf" file already made all modifications correctly, then your faction must appear to you as playable, although it hasn't map of menu and a custom general portrait.

    Ok I have another problem:

    1. The unit character in campaign screen is for Nabatea and I need to change to Veneti character, how do I do this?
    2. Campaign map in bottom right is showing the Nabatea kingdom, How can I change this to correct map?
    3. Enter the correct text for the faction in left panel? - I have fixed this!
    4. The Victory Conditions are not showing on campaign screen however they are activated in game and working, How can I show these conditions in campaign screen? see attached picture below

    1. Change your general in "frontend_faction_leaders" table.
    2. Add your map in "UI\fronted ui\maps\" folder.
    3. Change the text in "text\db\start_pos_factions.loc" file.

    Thanks mate, I am using this tutorial and I have the victory conditions in game but not on the faction selection screen when you use the Victory conditions button. However it seems to be working for some factions and not others.

    I honestly don't even use them. For non-playable factions they are useless.

    These are playable factions that I am creating, are you stating that these conditions text cannot be viewed in the selection screen? is this a bug?

    Possibly, but I was referring to the non-playable factions initially without modifying anything. For these questions, better ask in the "DB Editing and Scripting" section. I have hardly investigated this matter.
