    Default .gifs in signatures?

    Does one need a specific rank before they can have animated images in signatures? I did search for an answer, but no luck.

    No, not that I know of anyway.
    All you need to do is add IMG tags around the url.
    like this:

    {IMG}http://img436.imageshack.us/my.php?i...ogiesigfu4.gif{/IMG}

    But replace the {} with []

    You need to link to this:

    http://img436.imageshack.us/img436/4...ogiesigfu4.gif

    instead of what you're currently linking to which is actually a website.

    I didn't realise that animated sigs were allowed.

    There is a bit in rules that says
    Images with overtly distracting bright flashing sequences of images are strongly discouraged and will be removed.
    I suppose its all a matter of perception quite where that kicks in, but personally I find any of the fast changing ones really irritating when trying to read the post above, umm, sorry
