So basicaly the "Spartan Edition" for Attila, with leaving out 80% of all dlc's and making guileless people think they are buying a complete Edition.
Now to be fair, "Tyrants and Kings Edition" doesn't sound nearly as dorkass as "Spartan Edition."
There's really nothing else to discuss concerning this 'release.'

yes and NTW got complete edition only two years ago, ETW 3 years ago so in both cases this is 4 years after release. Shogun 2 and FOTS got their collections sooner - around 2 years after release.
And then there is RTW2 which still didn't get complete collection so i don't see the rationale for Attila complete collection just yet.

Like I said on Reddit already, this is quite disappointing in a way. I mean there is nothing to say against compilations like that really - it merely provides an incentive for new players to grab the game which is a good thing (an argument some of you guys sometimes forget).
As long as the pricing is alright, I think it makes perfect sense for CA to release an edition with Attila and AoC since AoC's setting is quite different from the base game and you really get two very different campaigns with this deal.
I'm simply disappointed because I was and still am hoping for an EE-style alternative campaign for the base game such as the IA campaign in R2:EE.
Maybe some time...
Chronicles of Cimmeria - A Kimmerios Bosporos AAR (EB2)
The Age of Peace - A TW: Warhammer Empire AAR
Blood Red Eagle - The Sons of Lodbrok Invasion of Northumbrialand [complete]
Machines - A Sci-Fi Short Story [complete]
Let's be realistic, guys, why would CA release for free a campaign modification like the Emperor Edition? First and foremost, Attila received much less negative feedback than Rome II, so there's no pressure on behalf of CA to convince her customers for her honest intentions. Secondly, Attila is also a less ambitious project than Rome II, something like an expansion, so it should be expected that it's not going to receive as much support as its predecessor did. Thirdly, the DLC circle of Attila has probably been finished (that's certain in what concerns mini-campaigns), so there's no incentive for CA to increase for free the interest in a game, which she is not going to exploit anymore, especially considering that the company would probably wish for both herself and her customers to focus their attention on the new upcoming title, Warhammer. On the contrary, Emperor edition had been released before Black Sea Colonies and WoS, not to mention that its release date "coincided" with the announcement of Attila.
Good points.
The IA campaign in the EE for Rome 2 was certainly something to calm down the fans and to make up for the horrible launch, something that is not really required for Attila, even though it would be pretty cool.
I would say Attila had a pretty good run all in all, I'm certainly happy after the disappointment of Rome2.

CA really did this? Sigh...
I don't know why people believe that this edition is supposed to be a complete bundle of all the DLCs. CA clearly stated what it includes, so buy it or move on.
So this edition is just some kind of discount? We all want all DLCs.
