How to run with Steam/battle crash fix
Repost from IB2 Vandalorum
Hello all,
Since I, like many Steam users came close to a nervous breakdown trying to get this wonderful mod (and others) to work, I thought I would post the easy fix I found. I initially installed the mod using the kingdoms workaround by renaming the IB2 folder to "americas" or "crusades" then launching it from Steam, but I kept having a crash to desktop every battle. This is an easy fix that worked for me:
1) Run the installer, install into the normal mod folder --> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods
2) Open the IB2 folder ---> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\IB2_Britanniae
3) Right click on Executable.exe.bat then select Edit.
4) The file will open in notepad and should display the following:
cd ..\..
start kingdoms.exe @mods\IB2_Britanniae\configuration.cfg
5) Change Kingdoms.exe to medieval2.exe so that it looks like this:
cd ..\..
start medieval2.exe @mods\IB2_Britanniae\configuration.cfg
6) Save and exit
7) Double click Execuatable.exe.bat to launch the game
8) Enjoy
This happened to work for me. No battle crashes, no missing menus/maps/unit cards etc.

This doesn't change anything. The game still freezes whenever I load a campaign or battle. I can't do anything.
