    Greetings,

    You may be interested to know that I have been putting in some time recently and both RC 2.0 and the RR campaign layer are now complete. There are so many changes it is really impossible to list them all.

    RC 2.0 is a total re-work of the battlefield dynamics. It is far more tactical the the original RC and includes a great deal of research.

    I am building the installer, it should be released shortly.

    Thanks Point Blank! But I wonder, is this an update that I can simply cut and paste into ss6.4? And more importantly, is it compatible with BGRV?

    It has very little commonality with 6.4, it needs to go into it's own folder.

    I think RC could be grafted onto a mod with BGRV, or maybe it would not be so hard to add BGRV - I just haven't really looked at it much but it looks very interesting. I'd be interested in using it for smaller 'boutique' campaigns of limited duration where the 12 TPY would be ideal, such as parts of the Italian Wars of the late 15th and 16th centuries, individual Crusades or 100 Years War scenarios..

    It includes the option to add BGR2 or 4.

    BGRV is incredible. One of the best things about it, I think, is the 12 turns per year. Your characters may last the full length of the game, with their royal offspring not maturing until after 144 turns or more. Since I don't adopt, it makes for a very challenging game and well-developed characters to whom you become quite attached, and who must, of course, be kept alive at all costs. Everything else about the mod is just as captivating as well. It's really too bad, in my opinion, that BYG didn't get his on sub-mod forum. I really can't fully enjoy the game without his work.

    I don't really understand what will become of RC2.0 since the latest SSHIP has already been released, Titanium and HURB are well under way, and it would seem that SS7.0 is a distant, if even unnecessary dream. But no need to explain it to me. I will follow the progress in this forum and see what happens. I am sure you or someone else has a masterplan. Perhaps RC2.0 can be imported to these mods rather easily. I know your work has been a big part of what makes SS6.4 so special, and I am very intrigued by your claim that RC2.0 changes the battle dynamics and tactics for the better. Anyway, welcome back, and thanks for all of your efforts!

    This core mod is the only reason I kept playing M2TW mods. Amen, long live the king of balance. Glad to see you back and having done some work, PB!

    Point Blank can you make Real Combat 2.0/Real Recruitment for Kingdoms?

    Also what is your opinion on the new Igni Ferroque Multiplayer Mod in terms realism and balance?

    Actually, I am interested in adding RC 2.0 to the Kingdom campaigns (with some realistic additions), so Point Blank shouldn't have to take care of such an arduous task.

    And he's gone again haha, seriously though if you do get around to releasing this I'll be sure to use it, I only ever used to play RC/RR back 'in the day' before you had small people...I feel old now.
