The Ens stared at the wrapped hands, it would do for now.
"At a goldsmith's forge, with tomes at my fingertips.. not here," he said, staring at smarting fingers.

He then knelt over and picked up the stone tablet, again, looking at it closely before turning to face the rest of the group with the tablet at his side in his left hand.
The mage watched the other three and their actions as he stepped back over to where he left the flail and swept it off the ground, the chain announcing to the room in a metallic voice as it unraveled.

Valip, allowing the Ens and dwarf to finish their discussion, placed his knuckles against the wall. Did he snarl? Did he smile? What difference did it make, for this crippled vessel, this listing ship unmanned by its captain and crew? Pushing against the cold stone, the Arron took the first steps in to the unknown, blades ready to take it to whatever foulness found itself behind it.

    "Just keep moving forwards."

The dwarf spat through his hairy maw, rejecting the foul substance in an instance of disgust. You died before you can die again! He wheezed, blood still dripping down his arm.

As the undead sentinel stumbled backward Gorgrim refused to let up. With surprising speed he was quick to press his advantage, bringing his trusted hammer to bare against his foe once more. Capitalizing on his previous strike before the enemy could regain its balance, he brought his cold blunted steel down through the air attempting to strike out against the creature's gnarled legs. In a powerful sweeping arch he brought the six foot rod down at a sideways angle in an attempt to take its legs out from under it.

The hammer swung down low at the rotten legs... The undead brought the its shield down, but it was too slow, the hammer creating contact with the leg... However the maneuver to bring the shield down had at least postured the undead warrior to receive the blow....

Another crush and squish sounded as the hammer impacted the leg, damage was dealt but the enemy kept its balance... Swinging its electric sword down again, though the blow to its legs had softened its counter attack... The sword struck Gorgrim again, this time in his side... It cut, but only slightly, but as with before an electric shock spread out from the blade, shaking Gorgrim's bones...

Using the curved blade he hacked away at the deepest part of the vegetation... After a few minutes effort he had cleared a hole... Peering through he saw a simple wooden door was hidden within the vegetation... It would take some more time to completely clear the door...

Taking a break from the moss... He turned to the east... Checking first the south east corner door... Opening slowly he peered through... It was a dark corridor, that turned to the north...

Closing that door and heading to the northern corner door... Opening it also and peering out into the darkness, it was another corridor turning south...

Valip entered through the door carefully, it revealed another room as per the diagrams they had discovered... It smelled in this room, it was dark and dank, smelling of... Wet dog?

Carefully pacing forward with the others behind him Valip went into the room... Click... He froze, the stone beneath his foot just on the other side of the door depressed...

From the ceiling dropped a hemp net, Valip looked up in shock as the net fell on him, weighted at its sides by stones tied into the hemp rope... It feel on him, tangling him in the mess of ropes...

Gorgrim cried out in rage as the magical strike of the undead thing cut through his side, like a dull knife cutting into a ripe melon it was messy and only partially effective. But the electric energy surged into him all the same, sending a tingle through his blood and bones. He could feel his strength waning, he was alone in this fight it seemed - the priest was clearly a scholar no adventurer, but he thought for sure he'd know something of the battle magic arts. Channeling the strength he had left in his strained muscles, and mixing it with the pain and blood now oozing out onto the cold stone floors about him, the dwarven warrior brought his bulbous hammer upward with grim determination. His steel sailed through the air and toward the undead creature's head. His tattooed arms glistened with sweat, the blood running slowly down from his wounds even as it began to coagulate, he smelt nearly as bad as the unwashed undead that he found himself matching steel with.

After inspecting the carving, Drysi looks at the southern wall for a moment, before turning back to the northern wall. She had originally overlooked the door, presuming it to have been locked like the other door she tried, but upon closer inspection, she noticed it was a normal door. Drysi stops to listen for anything on the other side of the door, and after about a minute of silence, she slowly opens the door and begins to make her way down the dark corridor, after closing the door behind her. She moves slowly and with the knife ready to attack or defend herself from anything in the corridor.

    [Inspect the corridor.]

Grunting in satisfaction, Franchask allowed a rare smile creep across his features as he cast an appraising eye upon the hidden door he had discovered.

The wood seemed to be weakened by years of saturation from the clinging vegetation and it was obvious that whatever lay beyond the door had gone undisturbed for quite some time.

As the corridor beyond the unlocked doors was almost certainly the direction in which his torturers had departed, Franchask felt he had little to lose from investigating this newly discovered exit. The Nathair continued to hack and pull at the vegetation until the door was completely revealed.

Franchask resolved to pry open the door as slowly and quietly as possible as he was still quite wary as to what might be waiting for him on the other side. That said, if the door proved locked or jammed, he would use his considerable strength to kick it open as he was now determined to unlock it's secrets.

[fully uncover door, open and/or batter it apart to see whats on the other side!]

Tossing her knife to Valip, Shendelzare turned to face the nearest rotting hound. She drew both her swords, the good steel in her right hand, the skeleton sword in her left. Staring at the rotting teeth, she held her good sword between her and the beast, ready to slash at the creature, or even better make it impale itself.

Crying out in surprise, the man collapsed beneath the sudden deployment of the snare. He twisted this way and that, attempting to find an end. Accepting momentary defeat, the arron heard the growl of hounds. Peering through the holes, Valip almost recoiled at the sight of the hell beasts. They had no place making a mockery of life.

A knife softly hit his side, coming to a rest atop his right hand. Unable to properly utilise his swords, the man retrieved the shorter blade, turning back to his new restraints. With wild purpose, the arron hacked at the fibre.

The Ens grimaced in disgust at the hounds and, once he saw his first companion trapped beneath a net, surged forward behind the dwarf.
The tablet dropped out of his hand into the threshold of the doorway and, with the flail hanging at his side, his freed left hand made cursing shapes of despise at the farthest of the deathly beasts, the arm stretched out at the target. Light shot out of the palm of the witching hand, basking the dungeon depths in a flash of blinding light and cracking across the room with a blast..

The undeads face exploded in a spray of rotten gore and puss, the force lifting the creature off the ground and flinging it backwards...

It was then that Farquhar saw his chance, with distance now between the target and his ally, he lifted his hands and with an out stretched palm chanted a few silent words...

Suddenly a ball fire burst from his hands and seemingly lobbed towards the creature who was struggling to get back on its feet... The ball hit the ground at the enemies feet and burst into a pool of burning napalm, the burst also with an explosive force pushed the undead back down and into the growing pool...

The creature caught fire, its old and mummified flesh easy fuel for the raging flames...

Drysi moved into the corridor, it was dark and musky with age, the flagstones uneven and broken in many places as she stumbled through the darkness, turning south and heading along quietly until she eventually came to another door...

Franchask worked on the mold and vegetation until he uncovered the door, slightly decayed from the damp but still operational as he tried the latch... It was unlocked and the door could be slid to the right retreating into a cavity in the wall...

And now before him... Was more vegetation, covering this side of the wall like it had on his side...

Taking a moment, Franchask tried to part the vegetation slightly, getting a small glimpse into the next room... Which was dark but was lightly lite by candles spread around the edges, it was a large room, at least three times the room now behind him... There was a water fountain in the center of the room, it was running and masking all other sounds...

As Karl and Shendel pushed forward to ward off the dogs from the struggling Valip... The hounds noticing the move, lowered to attach both of the them...

The first dog snapped quickly at Karl beneath his shield, the bite was slight but still connected with his shins drawing blood as Karl struggled to keep the hounds at bay, as he moved his shield down the second dog also attacked this time with more force but luckily the shield was now lowered and the undead hound as brushed off...

But the block just allowed the first hound another strike, this time at Karl's unprotected right side... Again the teeth sank in but the bite was quick and without force as the dog darted away from the counter attack... But the spectacle continued, opening up his other side again to the second dog, who attacked twice quickly the last bite digging deep...

Karl first strike missed, but his second strike caught one of the hounds back as it dashed away... The hound yelped and scattered out of range, but it turned back and bared its teeth in anger...

It was then that The Ens lightning streaked forward, past Karl, and past the first dog back towards second dog that had retreated after Karl's attack, the lightning smashed into the hound already weakened, the power surged over the enemy and it simply collapsed into a mound of sizzling flesh...

Meanwhile on the other side of the trapped Valip, Shendel had advanced, the two dogs on her side also leap forward for the attack, but as limber as the dogs were, Shendel was also quick and agile, as the dogs leapt, low and high... She ducked and rolled to avoid three attacks, but her luck ran out as one hounds bite connected viciously drawing blood...

Injured but still in the fight she managed to slash at one of the hounds as she dodged its attack, connecting and wounding one of the pair...

All the while Valip struggled cutting the netting, he was making progress, but knew he would be out for at least a few more moments...

As the foul burning creature fell back to the floor Gorgrim charged forward in rage. Bringing his blunted hammer down upon the corpse's exposed chest as many times as he possibly could and with every ounce of strength he had left is his stout muscles, he didn't want to give the enemy a chance to find his feet once more to continue the fight.
