Mitch never released his Populous mod. It seems to me that you try to fulfill Mitch's hope for his mod by making this one.The P++ is homage to Mitch's Populous (populous++) mod. I'm not saying we're copying his mod... but I'm not saying we're not not copying it.Mitch about the future of his mod: I have many ideas for this mod that I'd like to see implemented... As such expect new concepts and ideas to come to fruition in this mod in future, as well as fine tuning and balancing.
(The words "not not copying" must mean the same as copying)

That was just our attempt at being humorous
The actual implementation of our mod is significantly different from what mitch planned.
Mitch essentially made the proof of concept. If he hadn't done that, I'm not sure we would have even thought about actually making it.

does this submod remove the supply system? since i got it and started a new campaign Im getting no Supply line mechanics / script. its really ruining my immersion, only using this mod with the original DEI mods. am I missing something? nvm, fixed it. my mess up.

supply system is only in DeI, you need to use the DeI por to get the supply system compatible version.

Does this mod also affect the AI? If so, is there a version of it that only affects the player? From my playthroughs it seems that the AI is also influenced by population and it's just all around too stupid to be able to properly manage it. Would it be possible to make to modify this mod in such a way that only the player has to worry about pop?
The ai is affected economically and with replenishment but not with recruitment

Hi Magnar. Me and my brother plays H2H MP and have tried DeI. We think its a little too extensive for our liking but we love the population system.
Is this mod still working for the Vanilla version? Can i use the Steam version?

It would be good and reasonable to divide this value on 4 population classes:
max_pop_size_upper=2000
max_pop_size_mid=8000
max_pop_size_low=15000
max_pop_size_foreign=10000
Cause in many cities in mid game I see that upper class pop = 20000, and low class pop = 1000, and this is something not real. Regards!
This mod is a must have. Now i have a reason to recruit auxilia and mercenaries, roma cant handle with all the manpower that i need for my campaigns. But i think that this mod works better with almost hard battle difficulty cause there is a lot more casualties and enemies dont rout so fast.
If you play with normal difficulty your battle casualties are lowest and seems that you always have the manpower nedded. Try at hardest difficulty and see how your men's pool is depleted.
This mod is the best, no doubt. But everything can be improved. And limiting of upper class pop (notables) is something that really needed! This is the question of historicity estates' proportions, and difficulty levels dont affects that much.
