Okay guys, that's it. Lotta units there as you can see. I tried to reflect the catalan influence in the region too and give the Almogavars their due. Almost all the units are based off some kind of reference picture I received or looked at. The only one with no visual reference are the Almocadan so I might change their look. I might add a halberdier unit to round off the tier 3s and a early era almogavar crossbow unit but we'll see. Overall this faction was fun to work on!

Good work! But one little suggestion, pikemen in early era is a mistake, mostly of the pikemen units were introduced by Castile after become the major kingdom in Spain, I suposed Aragon start using pikemen after united both kingdoms. Castile used pikemen a lot, as you can see the Tercios example in the late era, based on macedonian phalanx.

I think a halberdier unit in the late period would be a great addition, however it seems like the almogavar mariners are holding halberds, so that would mean there would be two halberd units in the late period. Obviously not complaining, the more units the merrier.

I did want to ask if you are planning on adding a mounted crossbow unit for the european kingdoms like there was in MIITW. I don't know if it was historical but it was pretty useful and added some mobility to their armies.

no artillery? I have always heard that Aragon was one of the first christian kingdom to use artillery.

Every faction has the same artillery as of yet until some more variation of artillery are created.

Spotted a typo there - not Count of Urgrell but Count of Urgell - that“s the name of a province (i live in btw). The colors and texture match perfectly! Good job!

    Aragonelicious.

I only have minor complaints about the naming and the choice of lords. The heraldry for the late Aragonese knights is well chosen, the Count of Urgell and the Baron of Montcada are spot on, but I miss these ones:

    the Count of Empuries
    the Count of Pallars
    the Lord of Luna
    the Lord of Alagón
    the Viscount of Cardona

Of course, I'm aware that not everyone can be here, but the Lord of Gudal is quite the unknown to me. I can only find two mentions of any "Lord of Gudal" (one Assalit de Gudal) in Zurita's Annals of the Crown of Aragon and then in the Annals of the Kingdom of Valencia, which borrowed heavily on Zurita as a source. What am I missing?

Things changed in the Late period, however. Most of the old great names were gone and by 1350, the stars of the show are the Lord of Luna, the Lord of Alagón, the Count of Cardona, the Viscount of Cabrera and the royal offshot dynasty of Prades.

By the way, Gendarmes? Odd choice.

Other than that, they look amazing. From the heraldry to the army composition, through both equipment and armor, it's all very good. Great job recreating Aragon!

Aragon was a notoriously poor country, if you take trade away, especially its noblemen. Few noblemen were rich enough to dress lavishly (the Duke of Cardona and the royal Infants, mostly).

This is the most likely shape of a flashy rich young hidalgo in Castille:

Seeing the awesome late campaign units, kind of makes me want to play some campaigns in a later date.

I would love to see the late pike unit unique to Aragon of Macedonian inspiration... with better quality armour that is...

Most excellent Work! However, I have one question regarding the Almogavar units - Why are some of them wearing heavy armour? All the historical sources that I have read have always stated that Almogavars wore light armour because it allowed them to quickly traverse terrain and conduct raids.

Are you guys planning on doing the short sleeve surcoats seen in Druzhina's posts (http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/...t.jpg~original and others)? I always found them really neat looking and would be happy to try and tackle it myself for you guys.

I've also got Ian Heath's books if you want them, the guy who did drawings like http://www.warfare.altervista.org/WR...fantry-15C.htm

Warman222, are you planning to redo the faction? It would be great if you redo it with the quality you made the kingdom of Sicily.
