Fun first faction

I just got Broken Crescent 2.4, and it is my first time ever playing this mod. I was looking through and I have no idea what faction to play as. What would be a good first faction, preferably easy and just fun for my first time playing it. Thank you so much.

IMHO you should try any faction near the map corner, as you will be focused on 1-2 neightbours only.
U should also pick some decent (large) faction, as playing small factions will be frustrating/hard for a first experience
Pick Makouria,for example
Or any Rajputs to have some fun with elephants)

Well I couldn't wait and started one as Yemen. It said the Ayyub people were destined to invade but they immediately asked for peace, other than some financial issues so far, I think it is pretty fun and easy.

Abbassids are pretty fun for starters. They are right in the middle of the map with a rich power base and all the right units at their disposal. Could also try a Ghazni rush into India to warm yourself up.
