This is a Politics overhaul. It adds many more effects to your party's political standing.

There are still modest bonuses for staying in the "sweet spot." But achieving great political power will confer great bonuses, whereas political weakness will seriously threaten your faction's security.

After all, if you were being led by a charismatic Trajan, or Augustus or Julius Caesar, wouldn't you be willing to march longer hours, put in more work, and fight harder? Wouldn't foreign nations respect you more? The flip side is true, of course, for insecure rulers who lack support at home.

The intent is to introduce more strategy to your political decisions. Having high political support now confers very desirable bonuses that will make a noticeable difference in your game, but do you pursue them at the expense of civil war, or do you take a middle of the road approach? Low political support, in any case however, must be avoided like the plague now, as you will experience severe penalties at the lower levels.

I also added quotes from some famous Roman philosophers and statesmen, for flavor.
